Went here because I got a flyer with some coupons. I used the 2 bowls, 50% off.
This place is easy to miss. When we were driving down Riverside Dr. we were keeping an eye out, but still missed it. It’s next to Bob’s Big Boy, but sandwiched in-between other shops, a pair of trees, and there’s a bus stop shelter covering the front.
Anyway…I ended up parking my car on a residential street and we just walked it, trying to find it that way.
Once you find it, it has a nice outdoor area and inside it’s clean and modern with a wall of plants.
You can go to the counter to order or use the QR code at the tables.
Everything looks healthy, which is great if you’re vegan/vegetarian like me or a meat eater like my sister since there’s options for both.
We were given a number and the food was brought out to our table fairly quickly.
The portions are big enough to take some home and the food tastes great. My stomach was growling before we got here and I was sure I’d be able to finish it all, but still had some leftovers, which is good since it is a little expensive.
There’s also agua frescas to drink, which also tasted good, and were pleasantly surprised that they came in cute mason jars with a handle that you can take home.
Overall, it was a good experience except for trying to find the place and parking.

We found a healthy eating treasure in Burbank called Tocaya Modern Mexican. It’s a clean cafeteria-like atmosphere in which you can order from your table using a QR code or walk up and order from the cashier. My son called it a new age type business where cash is unacceptable. The food is clean, old-world, and fresh with classic flavors. I enjoyed the Baja fish tacos; the hot sauce brought the flavor out. The corn bowl was excellent, too. The strawberry basil drink was refreshing, along with the sangria. The service was perfect. We will be returning.

They also do catering so you can order for the office or for an event.
Overall a wonderful place to take you special someone, family and friends.

Nice little walk away from home and this place has high quality food. Throw a dart at the menu and enjoy. Happy hour options are great. You can’t beat their margaritas. Excellent presentation and taste. Quantity is a little on the small side but this isn’t the place to get lit, but a nice buzz makes everything better. Chips and salsa is solid and you can get plantain chips with the guacamole. Seems like a very trendy and hip atmosphere. It is very clean. A great spot for a date, just grabbing a bite, or a group to get ready for a night out.

1st time her it was delicious the food and service was great James was very helpful. The atmosphere was cute, calm, and modern in style, very welcoming. The parking situation is not too great but worth it. The drink are great as well.
