This is the go to place in Westcliffe. Hot and cold Signature sandwiches made with Boarshead products. Housemate soups and stews. Awesome drinks and wine and beer selections. Nobody is selling Boonesfarm here! The place is charming and definitely a local favorite, and they would know.

Sandwiches were alright. I ordered the reuben. Ive had better and I’ve had many that were worse. This one lands towards the better side. Potato salad was oddly dry. Not sure how to put it into words exactly. The dressing it was in was fine but the potatoes maybe were overcooked and dry. Great service and nice atmosphere.

AMAZING place to eat!!! The atmosphere was fun but not crazy loud. The waitress switched at the last minute because our assigned waitress had family come in. I’m glad … the first waitress was RUDE!! The one that switched with her was amazingly kind and sweet. Later as we ate we noticed our original waitress was rude not only to us but other wait staff and cooks. Not acceptable and made many of the customers uncomfortable.
On a good note— Our food was AMAZING!! The sandwiches were huge and made to order and our sides tasted homemade. Our waitress kept our drinks filled can came back often to see if we needed anything!!

Chicken pesto sandwich was delicious. Potato salad was very good! Our server was such a sweetheart. One of the best experiences we had in Westcliffe. We heard a local trash visitors in a local coffee shop, stating they would be glad to see tourists go. Sad, imagine Westcliffe depends on a lot of tourism. We felt very welcome at Bootleggers. Thank you for a nice lunch!

I’m not really sure why our experience was so bad compared to other reviews, but it probably had a lot to do with the entire staff being obviously sick.
It took a little over 45 minutes to get our food, so when when our hot sandwich orders came back cold, we weren’t about to ask them to warm it up and wait again. The 2nd beer we ordered was forgotten about – after it had been poured.
They were out of the potato salad, and wouldn’t have soup until another date, so got the chips as the side. The chips ended up being just Ruffles and stale. Our side orders got mixed up on our plates when it came out.
We would have had a better time walking to the grocery store and making our own sandwiches, and it would have been twice as fast and cost less. We just wanted a quick meal (why we chose a sandwich place) and leave before the storm, which we ended up having to drive through. Very disappointing experience.

THE SANDWICHES! We have driven through this town for years and never stopped. I’m so glad we did. The sandwiches are incredible. The Rito Alto sandwich was such a roadside treat! Great service, too.
