10/10 recommend. Food was excellent, bartender was kind and fabulous. Didn’t have to wait long for our food. You get to meet some fun and easy going locals! Fenced in yard for fur babies, plenty of out door seating.

I really wasn’t expecting much when I stepped into Salishack. From the outside, it had all the hallmarks of a dive bar. To be fair, with the exception of good lighting, the interior did, too. Nevertheless, expectations were bucked almost immediately with the friendly, welcoming nature of the bartender, who did not begrudge the new face in the locals’ hangout. I was given good, prompt service, and a meal that was way better than it had any business being, considering the situation (8pm on a Tuesday night). Frankly, I was pleasantly surprised they were still serving hot food. So the flavorful, generous, and innovative presentation of their teriyaki chicken bowl was a wonderful departure from my grin-and-bear-it expectations. My husband and I made a last minute decision to stay the night in the coast Halloween night, we were hungry when we checked into our hotel so we searched for a nearby place that wasn’t closing too soon. We got quick and friendly service, there were a lot of people having a ton of fun, we even got up and joined everyone in dancing for a song. There were a few games available and we played a game of cribbage while we enjoyed our absolutely delicious burgers. Worthwhile, I definitely recommend.

You have just found the best dive bar on the planet! This has been my go-to bar for many years. The new owner Doug S. recently completed some renovations and improvements without gentrifying this coastal gem. Where to start- the food is fairly priced and is of high quality. Basic bar fare, but the menu includes some items that are genuinely excellent, for example, the Gyro sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. The loaded hot dog is the BOMB! The smoked meat items are prepared in-house and are fresh and delicious. Full bar, and I have never encountered any stale beer. Michelle provides the hospitality and slings the drinks. But what makes this establishment interesting is the people that walk in the door- locals, day trippers, motorcyclists, World Mark vacationers, seasonal visitors, and even pilots. Aviation access is easy from the nearby Siletz Bay State Airport. Tie down your airplane, walk several hundred meters in a westerly direction, then CAREFULLY, RUN across Highway 101, climb the steep stairs, turn right, and you are there!

Delicious and unique bar food. They have taken bar food to higher level. We got to go and the food was ready and correct when I was told to pick up. Really you get 3 tacos but one was eaten by the time I took the pic. Plenty of lightly smoked and sweet bbq pork. The gyro was so good. I even had the third I couldn’t finish for breakfast.

A hidden local roadside joint hidden from the 101 which lends itself to be frequented by regular locals or in the know visitors. I had a burger which was pretty good. It’s the type of place that flirts with being a dive but is a little nicer than that.

Food was great! Won a little $$ playing video lottery. Burger I had was spot on and the fries were exceptionally good. Would definitely go back and definitely recommend you go!

Came in with family and sat waiting to be served drinks, only to be told by the bartender that we had to serve ourselves at the end of the bar. It took far too long to get a simple whiskey drink, and the service overall was poor. Unfortunately, the food didn’t redeem the experience—it was subpar. Wouldn’t recommend.

We were riding our motorcycles in some crazy oregon coast heat. We stopped here to cool off and get some food. I got a chicken wrap and my fiancé got a sandwich. He loved what he ate and my wrap was so delicious, huge and the potatoes were great too. It was very clean. There was one lady taking orders and serving, whom was very friendly and nice. We felt welcomed here.
