I completely adore this restaurant. The food is outstanding. It’s flavorful, homemade, comforting, and nourishing. I am not thai, but I have visited Thailand, and this food is the real deal. I’ve eaten in and taken out. I’ve had lunch and dinner here. I love the lunch specials. The atmosphere is clean ans cozy with a hint of elegance. The service is always friendly and attentive. I usually order the pad kee Mow or a curry dish. My family typically orders the sushi and shares an order of the Thai basil fried rice. They say it’s to die for. We also love sharing a bottle of warm saki. No matter what menu item we choose, we know we are going to love our dish and have left overs for the next day. Also, they have NEVER messed up a single order any time we’ve eaten here. This restaurant is my all time favorite Thai spot.
The picture shows avocado rolls and chicken dumplings ordered for take out.

I would like to preface my review by saying I’m reviewing the food. The service was beyond distasteful and if I ever want the food again, I’d order it through takeout. I won a $100 gift certificate and I felt like I was being harassed and interrogated over the fact that he didn’t know how to communicate to the mediator (Step Out Buffalo) for me to come in and get my winnings. It took over 2 weeks for him to reply all for him to have an attitude that I actually wanted to use the $100 and came to our table 3 times to review the email communications he participated in as proof-all before we had a chance to order or properly review the menu. Sorry for rambling but I had to paint the picture since he was the one who served me. The food his staff made was beyond delicious. The Burmese rice, Prik Pao fried rice, teriyaki chicken and sushi were to die for. Please make sure you order TO GO. Don’t make the same mistake I had.

I feel bad leaving poor reviews but sometimes it has to be done… my third time ordering from Camellia. First time was fine. Second time my partner was unhappy with the pad Thai – he said it was very plain. I had the Vietnamese pho which was good but the rare beef was really big and hard to eat. We both had some GI symptoms the next day but pinned it on some anxiety from a personal issue we were having at the time. Just picked up our third order and we aren’t happy.. not only was the portion size small, but the taste of my partner’s red curry was so off, it was like spicy watered down coconut milk. The chicken was dry, rubbery and sparse. Barely any rice. The mushrooms were so rough looking, I don’t think they should have been used at all and the red peppers were undercooked. I feel bad for making him order from here again, twice in a row now it was a bad experience.
The taste of my chicken pho was good but my stomach did not enjoy it. My chicken was also strange. I’ve never had this problem with pho from any other restaurant. Sadly I don’t think we’ll be ordering again, despite all the great reviews it just doesn’t do it for us.
Lastly I’ll mention that when I ordered over the phone today I didn’t realize the man read back the price to me. My partner thought he heard it and mentioned that it sounded high. Turns out he was right and when I got there they had added on an extra curry, but they took it off so we didn’t have to pay. The woman who cashed us out was very sweet, but unfortunately the food just hasn’t been it. Also the prices are a little higher than in the menu photo on Google so beware of that detail.

The food we ordered was delicious. Loved the black rice sushi and the pad thai. They have these really cool sushi boats. Looking forward to trying one of those next time! The service was great and very attentive. Good ambiance too with the music choice and the new decorating.

Having just moved to the area me and the wife decided to start trying some new restaurants. We initially were attracted by the sushi selection. The sushi itself is just okay, nothing special. Now the Green Curry we had was amazing, very delicious. That also said they told us a Level 2 is spicy, but I didn’t taste any spice at all. I will say I was a bit upset they didn’t have their Thai beer available. Overall a decent experience and will probably go back.

I went with friends and share many different plates. The food is delicious, it’s prepared fresh and came out quick.
However, the atmosphere was really… off. I don’t know if we went in during a slow period or a dull night, but no one else was there. We walked in for a table for 4 and they seated us immediately, but for the following 2 hours we were there, we were the only people there until the last 20 minutes. Some people picking up to go orders came by but that was it.
This wouldn’t have been that bad if the restaurant had music playing, but it stayed at a deafening quietness without any background music.
Also, despite us being the only people in the restaurant, I did have to ask a couple of times for water.
Don’t get me wrong, we might have just hit it up a night when everyone decided to stay inside. The building and interior is very nice and clean, and the food is delicious. Our Experience with the atmosphere is why we are giving it a 3/5.
So if you’re going for food, go here.

So, went here for dinner! Food looked appealing. All the lights were on saying open and the posted business says they’re open. Door is locked. No idea how the food is because we didn’t get to try it.

Very impressed with our dining experience at Camellia Garden. We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer, spicy tuna roll, California roll, mango salad, tom ka soup with chicken, and chicken pad thai. We loved that the restaurant offers Burmese black rice for the sushi. The mango salad had a unique and fresh flavor. We were also impressed with the quality of sushi, along with the ginger and wasabi accompaniments. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and prices were reasonable. We will definitely return!
