I’ve been to Hungry Howie’s just once. This review is almost a year late. This was one of the few if not only place open the day after hurricane Milton passed (2024). Stopped here while returning to Tampa. The workers here provided fast and courteous service. The pizza and cheese bread were good. Many thanks to those workers who came in the day after the hurricane

Do not put yourself through the headache at this place. It’s horrible. The managers are not helpful at all. The staff always has an attitude about nothing but just simply being at work. They don’t take any consideration of the customer when making their Pizza. We’re serviced by far I’ve ever received from any establishment. My wh family including my three kids had excruciating stomach aches after eating from this place. And to top it off because they are franchise this location can basically do whatever they want. So again beware and save yourself a headache. I would eat egg salad sandwiches from 7-Eleven across the street before I even look at this place.

I’ve ordered from hungry Howie’s on several occasions as I’ve lived in the area for several years. I’ve never had an issue with the store. But on the 29th which was my baby’s birthday we ordered a $60 order of pizza to accommodate family and friends. Upon ordering the pizza and it arriving the delivery person was very friendly let me out my gate. I’m doing a child’s birthday party trying to accommodate everybody and when we look at the pizzas I have a burnt pizza, I have a pepperoni pizza that’s overloaded with cheese there’s barely any pineapples on it and it’s completely dough and uncooked in the middle, and the how we read which was supposed to be cinnamon sticks were burnt. I moved on handled the rest of the party sat down and did a review and ask corporate to call me. 3 days later I’ve still not heard from anybody so I decide to call the store I spoke to a person at the store and I asked for a manager. When the manager came to the phone his name was Corey he was very unfriendly told me because I didn’t call that same day that they have the same day policy exchange. And basically said that I waited too long to make the phone call however I emailed and did a review and asked corporate to call same day. He then tells me that he’s contacted me by phone and I did not answer the day before so if we have a same day policy why are you reaching out to me two days after I’ve sent an email. My frustration comes with him telling me that if I had any of the pizza left that I could return it to the store so he wants me to dig in my trash can and bring boxes of uneaten pizza up to the store. I can in fact do this however it’s unsanitary addicted to my trash can and it is definitely insanitary for me to bring trashed items into his store. Never once did he offer any resolution to this just told me that because I didn’t call in time that he was just not going to be able to help me. He then told me that he had the best store the best ever all ratings and I went back and I read the reviews and it looks like over the last 3 months he’s had a ton of bad reviews that his store had a perfect rating and he was like the top star store in the area. And frustration I finally just hung up and contacted what I thought would be a corporate store and it turns out that hungry Howie’s is franchised and can talk to you however they want based on the hungry Howie’s franchise. This upsets me because hungry Howie’s face just because it’s individually owned should not be treated as I can do whatever I want. If a customer calls and makes a complaint it should be acknowledged and therefore treated accurately you can look at my records I don’t call and ask for free food I never call and ask for my money back however in this time I did I feel I had a birthday party for my child and it was a disaster based on the food. I do however feel that we can make this right but having a manager like Corey nothing will ever be able to be treated so because of his hot temper. I will continue to press the issue of being professional and treating customers with much respect. Until this is resolved with respect and and maturity. I will continue to not order from this store nor any other hungry Howie’s.

Very disappointed in the salad I purchased almost $9 for a kids size portion so I definitely will not be returning to this specific location, a few other locations I’ve purchased the same exact salad from have satisfying portions worth the $9.

The delivery driver wouldn’t come to the door to deliver my food she sends me a text message that she’s outside with my food and doesn’t even get out of her car is have to go outside and meet her at her car. Like I thought it was delivery like everyone else comes and knocks on my door.

This location takes pride in their food and service. My grandson loves pizza, so we get pizza from here at least twice a week. One time I was given the wrong pizza, I called and told them, they brought the right pizza to my house free of charge and let me keep the other pizza. It’s not often anymore that you get a business that takes pride in their business. This location is always fast , clean ,professional, and very friendly.

I ordered the club sandwich and a large pepperoni pizza… the sandwich was nothing but bread no filling, the pizza was very dry no sauce and no pepperoni we threw it all in the garbage and ordered real food from Jets Pizzeria and then we were happy please do not waste your money here go to a real Italian Pizzeria

This Hungry Howies was not too bad. The food was alright. The flavored garlic and herb crust we ordered was barely seasoned though.
My main complaint is the fact that it took over 30 minutes for our delivery. I watched on the tracker start to finish and it said it was on its way. 30 something minutes later we finally got our food. So if you count when I placed the order, they made it, packaged it and then delivered it, it was over an hour! We only live about 6 minutes away. I get that maybe they had other deliveries, but I just feel like if your tracker says on its way then it should be on its way. Maybe that’s just me
