Wanted and searched for some authentic Salvadorean food near the Baltimore airport and came across this hidden gem. As a Salvadorean who comes from a family that knows about Pupusas and other Salvadorean dishes, I can honestly say that this place is pretty legitimate. It didn’t disappoint at all! The pupusas were great, the curtido was on point, the tamales de pollo and tamales de maíz fritos were amazing! Definitely recommend this place and definitely coming back. The prices were reasonable too. The customer service was very pleasant and that’s always a plus!

I was in this restaurant and apparently I ordered a churrasco plate which steak sausage rice and beans also salad which is very pricing plate bit unfortunately the piece of steak they gave me it’s more fatness , more grease than meat which is bad bc is not what I expect of it

Great discovery! The pastries and individual cake slices are superb. Prices are very reasonable. Especially recommend their tiramisu and milk-cakes, as well as filled puffs, yummy and moist. I buy the small sizes, which are perfect for two people. Nice friendly staff and if you can’t speak Spanish (me) a pointed finger works.

Was in the area and hungry so decided to grab some pupusas at Cristy’s. Was glad I did! They were delicious. If you’re familiar with the menu I would recommend calling ahead to order. It was about a 25 minute wait for my pupusas. But as expected they were hot and fresh and definitely worth the wait. My horchata was okay. It tasted a bit watered down. That is the reason why only 4 stars. Would return and recommend

Typical salvadoran restaurant. Fair prices. Waitress brought food out one by one so 2 guests waited 10 minutes before we could ear. She didn’t bring one of the sauces either and never came back to check on our table. Couldn’t even get her attention as she was so into being able to leave when it was time to close the restaurant. Evan to pay we had to hunt her down. Our guest likes this place because the tortillas are homemade.

What’s better than that they are only around the corner. Bam how’s that for awesome. Their menu upon first glance has quite a few options and I can’t wait to try em all. I’ll post pictures as I get them.

I went to buy a Cake and the first thing I notice is the price is crazy compare other Latin places. I didn’t care and I taught the price is like that because is good quality; but OMG the cake was OLD!! and the fruits on top too! It was a gift I was so embarrassed with my friend! Worst place to buy a cake.

I had found this restaurant on google and saw a fair amount of good reviews also noticed it was a latin restaurant and haven’t had the luck to had spotted one in quite some time.
I needed a birthday cake for my 4 year old so it had to be themed it was pricey because it would have fruit and a Xerox design priced rounding to $60.
When I was ordering my cake I was a bad vibe from the employee taking my order she was talking to me in spanish so I did also. I gave her my details wrote down my childs name for the cake, payed at the register and left. No the whole thing made me feel horrible I went home wishing I didn’t purchase this cake from these people. But it was done and I hoped it would taste good.
When it came to pick it up we needed food and I brought someone with me to help me order food because it was a small event just to celebrate. We ordered there $30 special and some pupusas to go I hadn’t had breakfast and got their empanadas and fruit juice. Well thank goodness that was great I was so happy the food saved the moment because I was so anxious before.
When our orders where ready here came my best friend I’m going to call her now because she likes me that much; complaining that she had called me 3,4 or 5 times to inform me then that the models sold are not all guaranteed. That I had given her a bad number or whatever. She took it down in spanish I was talking to her in english if you didn’t catch the right dialect sorry that’s not my fault. Plus she and I were done I was checking the cake she made me so mad and unfocused I hadn’t noticed till I got home that they spelled my sons name wrong.
So to sum up my rant well hold up i’m sorry nope here is how the cake ranked from a 1-5 my family gave it a 2 bread was moist and delicious yes it’s a tres leches but sometimes some bakery’s drown them this one didn’t they ratio it right. The icing was very lightly sweet thank goodness.so thats their 2 the fruit looked canned and discolored I wasn’t satisfied that the person that took my order didn’t have a cake menu for me instead of having her repeatedly yelling at me.
In the end the restaurant will do great if they dont change their Saturday chef’s. The fruit juice was delicious they have my business when it comes to ordering off the food menu for my cakes I will stick with Walmart cupcakes or drive to DC and get my Tres, or Dos Leches my choice from KoJiBow he’s worth the drive never gotten attitude and they do fruit where I want it with nuts on the side of my cake too. For the same price I payed at this bakery.
Please Christy’s Latin Bakery & Cafe have a serious conversation with your girl because she may be the reason your ratings are not atleast at a 4

Excellent! So far I had been using for any special ocation. The 3 leches is my favorite. But don’t forget it has to be refrigerated cause it will melt. So I you going to order a cake for outdoor event and high heat. Make sure you are ordering a cake with a resistant to the heat! I always bring my ideas and the lady always comes together with what I ask. I am very pickie, that it’s why I pay a little extra money to have a professional cake done but this bakery do not charge over pricing prices as other do. You will be very happy to use them.
