The hummus is really good. My salmon was super dry and didn’t have much flavor. The spanakopita didn’t have that “spanakopita” flavor like most. My husband didn’t care for his food at all. The place is cute and the staff is nice.

Some vegan options. Had the impossible platter in the past and it was enjoyable.
This trip, liked the lentil soup to start. Then Greek salad with no feta and side of 4 falafel. Falafel were decent size and not small pebbles. Crispy on outside and soft inside without being mushy. Added nice hefty to the salad.
Usually there because of non vegan companion eater, so limited choices.
Friendly service and effective though not very busy at early dinner hour.

We love this place. The homemade spicy sauce they serve here is out of this world good. We enjoy the group, Big enough to split, but you won’t want to. My hubby tried the plate which was good but our favorite is still the house gyro. Slices of deliciously spiced meat wrapped in a soft warm bread & fresh lettuce tomato & onion inside. Prices are great and so is the service. Always friendly and we love coming here

We only had three items but they were very good. The Gyros Wrap and the Gyros Platter. Both extremely yummy. Great texture in the wrap. Loved it. The harmon fries were spectacular! Really garlicky. And the texture was perfect. Awesome crispness. A little on the pricey side overall but a nice treat.

This has needed an update for years and let’s begin. 6/10/2025
Recently I’ve took my sister here as we’re both trying to avoid foods cooked with a lot of oil like Chinese food. She’s a chef and has been in the business for over 40 years and spent the last 6 years as a chef and was managing food trucks in North Carolina. A long distance from her Napa gourmet restaurant roots. Tonight she ordered the lamb souvlaki. I ordered a small chicken shawarma wrap and lentil soup. The chicken shawarma was perfect. Just be warned, it is with pita bread so it’s a bit messy of a handheld eat. But what the heck. It was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked as it was quite tender. Nicely caramelized onions inside. Loved the lentil soup. It had a nice helping of lentils, not just a few little bits floating around as you see in some places.
Which now brings me to the lamb souvlaki. Now my doctor insists that I don’t eat too much meat and I totally agree. However, I could have eaten this for a week. It was some of the best lamb I have tasted in years, maybe over 20 years. Tasted fresh, it was perfectly tender, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not over salted, thank God which is something a lot of restaurants do with meat, especially grilled meat or meat. kebobs.
My sister was very impressed and pretty much polished off the whole thing.
She noted that there were no salt and pepper shakers which she totally appreciated because it meant that the cook knew exactly what he or she was doing. I did take that last bit of her grilled zucchini, which in itself was quite delicious.

This was the second time I took her.
Last time I had the falafel shawarma wrap and I recommend that as well. I got the large one and it was quite substantial.
Sister may have had the chicken souvlaki I don’t remember.
Just noted down below that I did my first review 6 years ago. I have since returned multiple times quite often bringing family because it’s not too crowded, the food is really good and the prices are very reasonable. They do a reasonable amount of takeout which is probably why there aren’t as many occupied tables as before.

Nice greek food, but the french fries. OMG…. sorry short on details as this was a month or two ago. Will return.

Troy has the best french fries in town, maybe in the entire East Bay. Get the Greek Fries–crispy on the outside and never greasy. The portion is huge and will disappear minutes after hitting the table. Addictive! Very friendly service. A great spot.

Been coming here every year when I visit the area except during the pandemic.

Still delicious and great service. I’ve had a lot of the dishes, all great tasting. Had the Chicken Shawarma and Spanikopita twice. Loved it.

As you might see in the pics, I dug into the food and forgot to take the pics first time I went. The second time was takeout. Was so good .

If you’re looking for some great tasting food and friendly fast service…Troy is your place

This restaurant is going downhill. This used to be my favorite Troy location, but the last couple times it’s gotten worse each time. The service was abysmal. The server was apathetic, mumbled, and seemed amateur. When he brought out our soups he was holding the bowls with his thumb essentially in the soup. Drink glasses were empty.

Good price for dinner for two on a weekday. The “impossible wrap” was palatable, but the lamb and rice was quite bland. Greek tea is a must try on a cool evening, but other drink options are quite disappointing.

I would give kudos to the service at Troy. They are considerate, friendly, and in general very nice people to interact with. The big let-down was the food. I usually love the spanakopita, but this place disappointed me to no end.

Maybe I need to choose another day to come visit Troy to see if I have a different experience!

Troy’s garlic fries were one of the best I’ve ever had and the onion rings were perfectly battered seriously so light and delich! The meza starter with hummus , dolmas, feta , pita – all very nice , for my meal I had the beef souvlaki with rice and vegetables and tzatziki, I always love the yogurt sauce.
