JJ Garden was just about a decent experience and it looks nicer from the outside. When you walk inside, you walk straight through the majority of the tables on the way to the register. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it does inhibit the space of others eating. The menu is put well together and is priced appropriately and so I’ll award credit for that. I ordered the Tangy and Spicy Chicken, and it was that, but the taste was faint and at least to me it was not spicy. With that entrée comes both a soup and a egg roll or spring roll. I got the hot and sour soup and a spring roll. The soup was not watery but it also wasn’t the most flavorful, and so as a result I’ll dub it a “solid” soup. The spring roll was better than the soup and I would also describe it as solid, but it’s also very basic and I could call it mass produced. In regards to the food I might be a bit biased, but this is still just an opinion.
The last note I’ll add is on the service. The food came out within 10ish minutes of being order and was hot.
All and all, I’d recommend this only to those residing near it and those looking for a quick and cheap lunch meal.

Forgot to take a picture of my food to post. I ordered the chicken and vegetables, lunch special and opted for a spring roll and egg drop soup. The food tasted terrible and tasted like they cooked everything in the same old pot in pan for years no flavor. It was gross. The egg drop soup was gross.. I asked for the crispy chips that usually come with The soups, but I was then told they charge a dollar a bag. I thought that was odd because every time I eat at a Chinese restaurant the crispy chips always come with the soup. Plus, the service was terrible. A waste of $15 do not waste your time here.

The food was excellent but I was not impressed with the experience. The restaurant had a nice seating area with booths and tables. There was a register at the back and a sign that said “order here”. It looked more like it was set up for take out. We weren’t greeted by the person who worked there, even thought they were right in front of us. We finally realized that we did need to go to the register to order, got a menu, placed our order and paid. I was directed to a counter to get my water and saw that there were also utensils so I grabbed some. Our soup was brought our table, quickly followed by the main course. I asked about duck sauce and was again directed to the counter where the the water and utensils were kept, this time on the top shelf. We ordered Happy Family and Garlic Chicken with Eggplant and upsized for $3 each to get soup, egg roll and rice. The food was very tasty and hot but I thought it was pricy considering the lack of ambience and attention.

I’ve been eating here regularly for 5 years now. The food tastes great, it’s not very greasy/unhealthy, affordable menu and the service/delivery is quick. They do have a very loyal customer base.

Trying to escape back out of town from NRG traffic after a Texans win over Steelers and remembered this place that we never had been to. OMG really great flavors and sauces with every dish. Everyone was happy and full during the 3 hour trip back home. We’ll stop again next trip! Give them a try

They are open for dining in and we enjoyed a couple lunch specials. My wife had the happy family with beef, chicken and shrimp, it was loaded with veggies. I went with the General Tso’s chicken and it was spicy so sharing wasn’t an option since my wife doesn’t like much spice, I loved it. We both enjoyed our choice of wonton soup, and an egg roll. We’ve ordered delivery from here and really loved it so it was a no brainer to visit, glad we did, we have a new favorite in the immediate area.

I had an order to go, good food. The portion size could be better. Most similar restaurants give you more.

Tried their combo fried rice – it was on the papery side but not greasy. The protein was on the overcooked side.
