i went to destiny usa mall after yearsss and wanted starbucks with my mom for her birthday that’s in a few days so we came for a treat. never in my life have i ever seen a rude miserable starbucks worker until today my mom is such a sweet woman and she wanted to buy me a drink, along with her boyfriend and herself. she was paying and her total came up to 20 something but 3 cents. she didn’t wanna break her 100 more so was grabbing pennys from the tip jar ( yes she knows that’s not okay but she stated she would never steal) she said she’d replace it with a quarter but the employee lashed out on her saying he won’t serve her and to leave the store before she could even tell him what she was doing. he made a scene causing her to ball her eyes out. she still wanted to get the drinks and paid anyway. the man excused his behavior “for working since 7am” it wasn’t even 6 at the time and im sorry but a 12 hour shift? i work in the food industry as well i deal with actual rude customers but my mom was NOT rude at all 12hr shifts and 50hr work weeks are normal to me except i treat every customer the same if a customer was short a penny i’ll grab it from the tip jar myself. it gets the line going especially if i was working a double, they normally tip after that nice gesture anyways and it’s a penny!?!? the workers name was dream but acted like a nightmare. he definitely needs a training on customer service because that was the most unprofessional act i’ve encountered, the people around were uncomfortable as well and asked my mom if she was okay yet he couldn’t even look at her. i’m glad he was guilty at least, but he desperately needs to find another job if making drinks is his villain origin.

i usually love this spot and only order from this starbucks but today they have really disappointed me. these are what my drinks look like right when they came out. the one where i requested strawberry had no strawberry and the “pieces” they added are just powder. the lady working told me i ordered a lemonade dragon drink when i clearly did not. i ordered it with coconut milk and she told me i didn’t. i dont try to be a karen so i just left saying okay but this is inexcusable. i came back in and decided to stand my ground and the guy in a white cap with ginger hair helping me with my order was very kind and helpful. so i’m very thankful for that! and the guy making my drink did it perfectly.

I ordered 2 medium drinks and had to wait 25-30 minutes just for them to spill one of them all over the counter, and then add ice when I requested no ice (it said no ice on the receipt). The baristas were talking non-stop , moving like slugs and not doing their job efficiently .

Kendrick, the manager, was gossiping and talking trash about employees to 2 customers loudly while the store was crowded. I asked the cashier where we were on the line and she asked him he said rudely and loudly to me “if you want a refund I can give you one “. I stated again I wanted an answer to my question were the people on the line in the store handled before the people who placed order online for pickup… because we waited a long time for our drinks. Again he rudely said if I wanted a refund he would gladly give me one” . Trash management and he should be the one fired (not the employees he was trash talking about)

With just one order of one drink ahead of me, I waited 20 minutes for a latte, primarily due to mobile orders. If I knew I was in line behind 20 people I would have skipped it. You have to do a better job of taking care of the customers in the store.

Friday night my hubby placed a mobile order for a large Carmel Ribbon Crunch- (extra crunch) adds a tip and at 5:09 the mobile order is suppose to be ready, so we walk over to grab it.

It was busy but that’s typical and not a big deal. We stand there waiting for 20 minutes and then my husband goes to the cashier who then walks over and grabs the mobile orders from the printer and hands them to the girl making drinks.

The cashier walks back to cleaning out the pastry counter, then finishes and just stands there talking to the other co worker who is crawling around the floor, cleaning under machines.

The girl making drinks was irritated and not friendly at all but honestly did not blame her because it was busy and she was working by herself.

My hubby finally gets his drink and there is no Carmel in it. I take it back to cashier who was just standing there and nicely ask her to remake it.
The guy walks out of back room to make the new drink.

I mentioned that it was absolutely ridiculous that there’s one girl making drinks and that I felt bad. I asked what happen to teamwork and working together to get the drinks made? They proceed to tell me that they each have a job and they can’t help each other, the payroll hours were just cut and they are doing the best they can. SORRY- NOT-SORRY- NO EXCUSE (4 people were working but only I making drinks)

Honestly, if they all worked together there would not have been one customer standing there and they could all clean afterwards. The customers should be the number one priority not throwing out old pastries or sweeping. Terrible business practices.

I ordered my drink used mobile app to avoid the line and when I asked the person if I can have ice water for my son she told me to go back to line, what is the point to used the mobil app if they told me to go back to line to get some ice water for my son, they need to have better customer service and not make big deal over some water, I’m not going to spend my money in this specific location anymore
