Great little bar in downtown St Charles. Right around the corner from the free parking lot across the street from the firehouse. We spent a couple of hours here and had a few drinks and something small to eat. The bartender was great and was attentive and even came up to our table we were sitting at several times while we were there to get us more drinks and make sure everything was good.
I’m not normally a bar person but I felt comfortable here and welcome. Other bars can be a little too trendy and loud but this one felt like sitting at home, listening to music, and having some drinks with friends.

This place smells like a sewer. Not sure what’s going on here but even the new venue stinks really bad like it’s a septic issue that hasn’t been addressed. Wouldn’t order food here either.

This restaurant is on the opposite side of the street just down the street from the Arcada Theater. We previewed the menu and decided to try it. The burgers were amazing! I had the Mushroom Swiss with sweet potato tots which was oh so good. I got the Death by Chocolate cake which definitely satisfied my chocolate fix. My friend had a burger with bacon it and a plateful of fresh cut fries. Service was excellent and our waitress was very helpful definitely will go back before seeing another concert at the Arcada!

Low for the meal and wait staff. Appitizers were a saving grace. Drinks were okay, but over priced for quality. Our waitress didn’t use common sense as far as things like asking before clearing the plate with food still on it. We asked the bar back to take a picture of our group and the bar tender rudely snatched the camera from her with a rude comment about it. There was an air of awkwardness. The burgers we ordered were bizzarly bad. It was like a combination of overcooked, not adding all the toppings listed from the menu , and an unclean or really greasy grill.

My husband and I came here for date night, and we could not believe how amazing and delicious the food here was. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries, omg it was the best burger I’ve ever had. We ordered chips and salsa for our appetizer, and while where I come from ( West Texas) those two things come free, it was well worth the price. The chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was homemade and had a great kick. We live in Elgin now, and this bar and grille is only a 10 mile drive for us, and we so look forward to date night again. Our waiter, I can’t remember his name- but he was very attentive, I appreciate that a lot. This bar also offers 4 slot machines in the corner, if you are over the age of 21 obviously- and I just couldn’t help but play for a little bit. After dinner my husband and I walked down to the river, which is a five minute walk from the Crazy Fox Bar and Grille. I can’t sing high enough praises, for the first time since moving to Illinois, I felt Texas amounts of hospitality.

I had by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. The food was cold and terrible. The fries were soggy and the meal was missing several things that were supposed to be included according to the menu. I asked multiple times for the missing items and she never brought them before we gave up and just asked for the check. There was one person working (she was tending bar and waitressing). She just kept saying, “Not my fault”. I don’t have unlimited money so it was sad that I had such a terrible meal and service.

Great bar in a beautiful downtown area. Good food for cheap prices on special but the main menu food seemed over priced IMO. But the beer was cold and fairly priced and the bartender was attentive and helpful. Would drink a beer here again!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience, and much of that was thanks to our excellent waitress, Jeanette. She took care of us with such warmth and attention to detail, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Jeanette’s friendly and professional service truly made our visit special. The food was also fantastic delicious and perfectly. Overall, a top-notch dining experience!

Food was below average. Ordered the buffalo chicken pizza (because they were out of Salmon)…pretty sure it was a frozen pizza…it was served on cardboard and the crust was hard. Chicken sandwich was tasteless. Beer tasted like it was served in a soapy glass…and flat.
They added a 3.99% service charge…which said it was for credit fees, I paid in cash and they didn’t take it off the bill (after I asked the waitress about it and informed her that I was paying cash). Won’t eat there again.

The Crazy Fox Bar and Grille is the best bar in St. Charles in my opinion. The food is excellent and they have a great selection of drinks. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Daniella, Janette, and Marissa are all just really great people! You will not be disappointed by the Crazy Fox and it is conveniently located right across the street from the Arcada Theater.
