Excellent pho! The best I’ve had in Boise so far the service is awesome she is very helpful the egg rolls are amazing I got the BBQ pho was so good! And the Thai tea was great!

I start this off by stating this was my first experience with Pho. I will also say that if you are looking for a location of quick service this won’t be for you. Also it’s worth noting that all their Pho are beef based and they do not serve non-beef based Pho. It’s also worth noting, as printed on their menu, the food does contain MSG.
It’s a small, hole in the wall, place that does not look anything special at a glance. Don’t judge this book by its cover however, this place is a pleasant surprise!
The waitress here is super friendly and personable and does everything she can to make the experience great.
I personally had the Beef and BBQ Pork Pho(P9), it was sweet and hearty and the meat was very tender. If you like a sweeter soup I highly suggest this! Personally, I think I will try a different soup next time but it was good. It comes with Basil and Bean Sprouts on the side. You can request more veggies as well as chilli paste.
After the meal they brought out some small coconut cookies, kinda like fortune cookies at chinese restaurants. Nothing special but a great treat to polish off a good meal.
All in all, it was a good first experience and if you like noodle based soups this is a great stop! I highly suggest coming here at least once.

I’m no Pho expert, but I was blown away by the flavor of the Pho in this place. Mom and pop place. I’ve been to a few other Pho places since and nothing compares. Give it a try! Come for the authentic food – the place itself is very simple (no frills).

My friend and I always make a visit to this beautiful family-owned Vietnamese restaurant. I opt for the P9 which is in the picture attached. There are a variety of condiments to spice up your bowl as well. We are always greeted with delight and I feel very happy eating here♥️

Pho Bac has been the best place we’ve dined at, hands down. The only other place we would compare to be just as amazing is in Utah! We have courageously tired many Vietnamese restaurants in the valley and none compare to this place. Service is excellent, quality of pho is amazing, clean dining area, and clean restrooms. We are loyal customers to Pho Bac now, try for yourself and be won over by this place!

Great place to get Pho. I tried Pho Neuvo downtown and it’s pretty good too but this place makes the Pho taste like it’s from Grandma’s kitchen. It tastes so much more homey.
Also, just so other know, the woman who works there works both the front and the back of the house with one other cook most days. If it’s really busy she may have two or three others so if service is slow, you know why.

It’s not just the delicious Pho and low prices that make this place so great to enjoy. It’s the casual atmosphere created by the owners Anne and her husband Thomas. They are the nicest couple that moved here from Vietnam and have lived in Boise for over 30 years. It’s no wonder they have their own following of regulars that speak so highly of them. It’s likely that Anne will be your server, as she does almost all of the day to day operations herself, and she works so hard and cares so much about all of her customers. It’s fun to see her connect with her customers at the register, and it feels good to support this honest and caring Boise family.
