The food was good but I ordered general tso’s however it had the consistency of sweet and sour chicken. The rest of the food was good. I did call the restaurant to let them know I thought my order was wrong but he told me that if I had broccoli in my Togo container then it was definitely general tso’s. He was friendly and courteous, however I have never had this dish prepared in this manner.

Food was really good. Haven’t had good Chinese food in a long time, so they def did not disappoint. Got the shrimp Egg Foo Young combo, along w/ orange chicken. $24 for both combos. Ordered extra gravy on side, but you really don’t need it.

This is my most favorite Chinese restaurant in the entire state of Florida! I have eaten here since I was a kid, before they moved to their new spot. The food is so amazing here, especially the crab Rangoon and red sauce. The employees are awesome here, they treat you like family.

My go to spot for Chinese food is Golden Eggroll but I went to this location because my grandmother wanted to try it. I got the Sweet & Sour Chicken with Pork Fried Rice. The rice was yummy and the chicken was fresh & hot.

Everyones experience is different!
I’ve been eating at Chan’s chinese restaurant Dunn Ave for 44 years. They were a 5 star restaurant, back in that time. It was the best food around! For some years now, they moved to another location down the street. They went from dine in to take out only.
I’ve always loved Chan’s.Time and things have surly changed with Chan’s!
We stopped in and spent $45 at lunch time, for a to go order. It was 2 Super lunches with added shrimp lo mein and a large Wonton , 2 Egg rolls!
We got home , ready to eat , it was the worst food ever!
The rice was mushy soggy brown rice, definitely not fried! The supposed to be chicken was just fried batter , no chicken, with sauce over it. The Shrimp lo mein was soggy and old tasting and not good at all ! The large Wonton soup was plain and pure nasty tasting. We ordered vegetable egg rolls, they were soggy in grease and a horrible consistency. The food was not edible!!
I made a phone call to Chan’s, “of course they do not have a manager”!
I told the,” chine takie outie phone guy” about the situation. He just said, “yes ma’am”!
“CHAN’S IS NO LONGER THE RESTAURANT THAT IT WAS!”
“ZERO STARS 0”!!
Some will eat this crap like they haven’t eaten in a week.

I have my receipt. I will be sending an email to chans email listed on the receipt!
Wasted $45

Been coming here for years but this time it was terrible. Been noticing the changes over the last year, smaller portions, higher prices and more inconsistencies with the flavor/quality. Today I ordered at least $40+ worth of food but had to return to the restaurant to get my food replaced. The mixed vegetables in brown sauce and the garlic sauce were tasteless. I called once i noticed and they offered to replace them. Got the replacement and had the same issue, after inspecting the food I noticed there was no flavor because the sauce was now being cut with excessive amounts of oil. To the point where when the box was tilted you could see the clear distinction between brown sauce and oil. Even the sides of the box were drenched in oil( not brown sauce). Upsetting to have your favorite Chinese restaurants cut corners or slack on such a simple dish. Hope this wont continue to be a regular occurrence.

Gotta say here if it’s only Take Out.

Use how busy you are to hire more help and serve and make more.

Clear homeless off your steps.

I was intending on trying out this location for both my family and myself as I was getting ready to having thanksgiving the following day and eating the leftovers overs for two weeks. The process of ordering my meals was encountered by a very professional man that was both manning the phones and register at the same time. However, the quality of food I was given was borderline criminal. The egg rolls were actually spring rolls which are half the size. My egg foo young tasted like they were not all the way done in the middle and the gravy was already poured on top which is not normal for me. It has always been put in a container for me to use as I see fit as far as portioning is concerned. In asking for fried rice I was not expecting brown rice. It is not the same as far as color, texture, or taste. I am not sure I am interested in returning

I placed an order and they got it wrong, it was fake out. Shrimp mixed vegs and rice to be separated. The rice was added in same container and the rice sucked up the sauce and became soggy and the shrimp was smaller. It wasn’t great, I called them later after I got home and the guy argued that he didn’t make a mistake and I told them I wasn’t looking for refund or replacement just wanted them to know and he argued and then hung up.
I will never ever go back to them. I have learned that no one is perfect and they should accept that they made a mistake but he was so confident that he gets lots of business so therefore treat me with disrespect and did not want to make it better. I will never go back, the food is not very good and the service is fill disrespectful

I’d take a pass on this Chinese restaurant.
Some of this review is my own experience, some, with emphasis, is straight rumors.
My own experience the food here isn’t much beyond the frozen food Chinese section at a supermarket.
Especially the shrimp egg rolls. Moo Goo Gai Pan same thing. Supermarket.
It is said that market based competition is a good thing because it fosters innovation and good customer service.
I’m not sure this would apply to this location. By my count there are two other quality Chinese restaurants within a mile and a half of this exact location that both serve authentic or at least better prepared Chinese food.
My last part of this review is pure rumors, rumors are never good as they often contain about 1/4 of the real truth.
But I’ve heard the rumor that the owner of Chan’s Chinese restaurant is a very successful real estate developer and strip mall owner with long term leases, like this plaza and running a Chinese restaurant is really secondary as a part of this overall business plan. ⛩️
