Simona’s Bakery absolutely nailed the vision for my bridal shower cake! I had asked for a textured design adorned with fresh flowers to complement my wildflower-themed shower and what they delivered completely exceeded my expectations.
The cake was not only stunning (truly a showstopper!) but also absolutely delicious. Every guest commented on how beautiful it looked and how amazing it tasted. It was the perfect centerpiece for the celebration and tied the whole event together.
Simona’s Bakery was also so easy to work with: professional, thoughtful, and passionate. I’m so grateful for their talent and care. Highly, highly recommend them for any special occasion!

This is the third time my husband bought a dozen macarons and they were not baked properly. While they should have a crisp on the outside and be soft on the inside, 9 out of 12 were hard as rocks. The fillings are tasty, though. I hate to give a bad review to a local store, but these were not cheap and not up to par.

Great bakery with a wide selection of traditional treats. While their pricing is a bit on the higher side, it’s comparable to other bakeries in the area. I picked up a few cupcakes, some mini éclairs, and cookies. The flavors were nice, but the chocolate on the éclairs was unexpectedly hard when we bit into them—not something I’m used to. It might just be their style, or perhaps we caught them on an off day. Overall, I’d give them a second shot

A nice bakery with an array of cupcakes, donuts, cookies and other pastries. Had about 12 different cupcakes and most of them are fairly good, although at $6 each they should be great. Favorites include key lime and red velvet. The donuts are usually excellent, but the last time I had them, the jelly was overly thick. A good bakery, albeit a bit expensive.

I went there to purchase a birthday cake for my husband. To be honest the flavors were very limited and bland, granted I didn’t customize a cake ahead of time, but I’m glad I didn’t. The texture of the cake was very dry and the buttercream was too thick, and tasted like lard. I also purchased 4 of their big cupcakes as they appeared delicious on the stand. I got the smoreo, brownie, key lime pie and the cannoli. Each one tasted more drier, very bland, and didn’t seem anymore special than a cupcake I could’ve gotten at Walmart or ShopRite. Overpriced for baked goods that have limited flavor, dry texture and overall taste basic.

The original person that I hired to do my birthday cake cancelled the day before. Simona’s bakery were able to accommodate me and bring the exact cake that I had in mind to life last minute. WOW! I’m so impressed with Simona’s Bakery! They have the largest selection of cupcakes I’ve ever seen at any bakery ever! There must be like around 40 different kinds of cupcakes! They should put them in order chocolates together, pumpkins together, vanillas together, and so on. Another good idea is to have a menu of them to go available so when you go in you can request the ones you want instead of trying to read them all and wasting 40 minutes trying to figure out what ones you are going to buy. I’ve had the pumpkin cheesecake crumb cake from here, and it’s FANTASTIC! Unfortunately, it’s so good it sells out fast! I wanted to buy some more today, but they were already gone. You have buy yourself one, and thank me later! I’ve had the brownie cupcake, red velvet cupcake, pumpkin apple caramel cupcake, and the pumpkin cookie dough cupcake from here so far. All DELICIOUS! Simona makes the BEST pumpkin and red velvet cake I’ve had from a NJ bakery! I know pumpkin is seasonal, but it’s so exceptional here I’d buy it all year round! The chocolate cakes I’ve found to be ok/good. The red velvet cupcake was also a TOP cupcake! It was OUTSTANDING that I highly recommend purchasing the red velvet cake here. I know I’ll definitely be purchasing myself one. I also love how each cupcake is generously filled, and you can tell it’s all high quality ingredients. The apple filling to the pumpkin apple caramel cupcake was amazing! I also purchased a chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream, and the peanut butter buttercream was delicious! At first I thought the cake wasn’t that moist, but it was only because I cut myself a slice just after it came out of a refrigerated case. Once it reached room temperature after two hours it was very moist. They also have lots of beautiful cakes here for sale too. Another item I tried was the peanut butter brownie. The peanut butter layer was nice and creamy, but the brownie itself I found to be just ok. I like mine more chewy and fudge like. I’ll give it another shot the next time I go. This bakery has a huge selection of desserts, and I’ve just only begun sampling everything. You can check Simona’s bakery on instagram for more pictures. It’s around a 40 min drive for me, but with the unique, DELICIOUS, and huge selection it’s worth the drive! I absolutely love Simona’s Bakery in Sea Girt, and I highly recommend coming here!

OMG, a bakery open till 8pm on a Saturday. That is just the beginning, the options of biscoti is endless…the Cigars are phenomenal, the cookies are endless……we really wanted to taste everything but couldn’t. What we did though was amazing…..

I went to Simona in Sea Girt for a custom cake request for my sister’s engagement party. I pass by them a lot and had purchased a few smaller things from them in the past. Long story short they created an incredible and stunning custom cake for me and if you are interested I suggest you proceed with working with them. The cake was stunning, delicious and affordable.
Now for the detailed story – I reached out to them via email two weeks in advance letting them know what I was looking for in a custom cake. They were extremely prompt and emailed me back right away. They set up a time with me to come in and go over what I would like in person (I really appreciated this as it gave me more confidence in being able to talk through what I would like versus conducting it over email or phone). When I showed up at the shop the three women on site were incredibly sweet and informative. Two of them assisted me with my cake order. The third assisted me in picking out some sweets to bring home that day! They were extremely knowledgeable and gave great insight on what I may need. I showed them a few photos of cakes I liked and what I liked from each cake design. I asked if they could merge it into one cake. They had no problem with my detailed requests. I was kind of nervous as I am very particular in what I want, but the end results were amazing! I picked the cake up day of and the staff was great during pick up. My sister was so surprised and all of her guest’s couldn’t stop taking photos of it (some attached). They also wouldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was (equally as important).
Extra notes, the cost was very affordable especially for the quality of work! I plan on using them for all of my future cake needs. I am honestly in shock over how incredible my experience was with Simona and I would suggest working with them for your cake requests.
