I had a small beef & broccoli & asked for it to be spicy, the food was flavorless, it tasted old & the beef was barely there, barely any sauce, freezing cold restaurant, waste of money

Food has gone down hill it’s always been a dove but the food was amazing. The egg drop soup is still good. Ordered chicken fried rice, no chicken it was basically seasoned rice and onions. Guess it’s back to the drawing board to find a new place.

Ordered on a Friday evening. Was told to give it 40 minutes. Waited an extra 10 minutes, which is fine because there was five other people waiting for their order. What I don’t like is they had written down my phone number incorrectly. The young female (teenager) speaks English very well, so I know it wasn’t a language barrier. It was interesting seeing the cooking going on since the back/kitchen is wide open to the public. The place could use a deep cleaning and a rise in the temperature (thermostat). I wouldn’t want to sit and eat at this place presently. Very nice staff though and the food was decent as well.

Having moved from South Texas I had a fave Chinese place that I used weekly for a couple of years. With that said I absolutely love how old it looks inside anyways I ordered sweet&sour chicken beef and broccoli a long with chicken lo mein two dishes came with rice. The food is alright it feels like it’s missing that next step or what I would call love the meats tender veggies are cooked but crisp the rice was spot on! I just needs some love/passion. At my old place I would only use soy sauce to put a bow on a perfect dish. But these need it as the flavor is lacking but the price and distance I can’t beat. I will continue to go and enjoy their food as it’s not bad it’s just SO CLOSE to being amazing.❤️

Our second time there…my husband loves the chicken noodle soup and gets the beef and broccoli. I’m partial to the shrimp fried rice. We get pint size servings which is always more than enough. Always good! And never wait long.

We ordered a broccoli and beef, pork fried rice and boneless rib tips. The sauce for the broccoli and beed was concerning- the oil separated from the sauce. This usually indicates too much oil. The pork fried rice was great. The rib meat was dry, how many days ago was it made? We ordered fried potstickers. If you are going to pan fry, it should be well browned all around. This is one step away from steamed with some light browning. Lastly, the sauce felt artificial- msg effect? I used to live in Round Lake and this was my go to place for a long time. I hope that they can bring back the quality and flavor of old.

personally I think the food is very consistent and good plus it’s one of the more affordable places these days. I love the location so I’m biased and I havent had issues with them before. I will continue to keep ordering here. It’s worth it for me.
