I love this place. I love the food, i love the vibe, i love the staff – i love everything! I had an amazing private dinner party at Bistro Du Soleil for my birthday, and from the moment i reached out to the restaurant to inquire about doing an event to the moment i paid the check i was so happy.
Maria, the owner, really went out of her way to make everything absolutely perfect. She and her parents run the restaurant AND cook the food, AND her father even built the tables and bar by hand. As soon as I met them, i felt like they were family.
They worked with me to plan a special menu and there was SO MUCH DELICIOUS FOOD! We did an hour of appetizers set up on the bar, and then a full 5 course sit-down dinner. It was the perfect evening.
This is exactly the kind of place Westport needs – delicious, friendly and cool. It is not at all pretentious because it doesn’t have to be. The food speaks for itself. I can’t wait to go back!

One of the most memorable dining experience I’ve ever had. The food is delicious and stunningly plated, and the servers/owners are lovely people and wonderful to have a conversation with. It felt like I was dining with an old friend. I’d highly recommend Bistro Du Soleil and the owners’ other restaurant Rincon Taqueria.

Every dish was absolutely delicious, plus the portions were generous — appetizers of frogs legs, tuna tartar, and house salad… entrees of ahi tuna, diver scallops, and seafood bouillabaisse… and a luscious chocolate cake for dessert.The family that runs this restaurant are lovely and cater to your every need – adjusting for food allergies, ensuring you have enough delicious bread and dipping oil, providing the proper utensils and plates to share, making sure your BYOB wine is properly opened and served. We were here before the pandemic and this is our first time back — we felt totally COVID safe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The location is quiet, cozy and with an artsy ambiance. Not an inexpensive place, but I can assure you it is worth the price.

This small, family run restaurant is our favorite in Westport. I started with the crab cakes over arugula last night, perfectly crisped letting the sweetness of the crab meat to dominate. The lobster bisque got rave reviews from our friends. I followed it with classic coq au vin, which fell off the bone and melted in the mouth. My wife loved her seared sesame crusted tuna. The braised short ribs were another favorite in our group. Don’t skip the desserts! The ricotta pistachio cake was a great finish to the meal.
The service is always friendly and well executed. Bistro is BYOB, so you can bring your favorite wines to accompany a great meal.

Truly exceptional dining in a warm and welcoming atmosphere where the Munoz family makes you feel that you have known them forever. Surrounded by the work of local artists and music that allows you to hear the people you are dining with, there is comfort and space to enjoy the delicious meals created by Chef Soledad based on her travels and training abroad. Bistro du Soleil is a dining experience you will wish to have over and over again. My wife and I love it.
