Bob-Os was voted best Cheesesteak in Bergen County! We also topped the state and ranked in the top 35! Bob-Os has been opened since November of 2020, and has been a staple in the Ridgefield Park Community. Owner Tommy DeSocio is a born and raised RP native. We have a variety of sandwiches, sides and fantastic shakes that we offer daily. Everything is made fresh in house. We use ribeye for all of our steak sandwiches and bread delivered fresh everyday. We hope you can come by and check us out!

Meant to try this place for years, finally had it the other night. I found the cheesesteak to be pretty basic and small. Nothing was “bad” about it, but nothing special either. My wife got a chicken cheesesteak and felt the same. The pizzeria down the street from me makes a better cheesesteak.

I give it 3.5. I passed this place and had to try it. I went with the classic Bob-O. The size was disappointing. They only have 6″. I was very hungry and I wanted a 12″. I asked for the ‘sweet peppers’ on the side. I tasted them and did not like them. The bread was O-K. Nothing special. “The bread makes the sandwich.” I probably should have chosen another cheese. The American didn’t seem like the right choice. The steak tasted good. I didn’t get a real chopped/diced onion flavor in my sandwich. But, it was good. I ordered fries with no (0) salt. They were crispy and tasty.

This simple makeup of ribeye, cheese, onions, and fresh bread is what makes the sandwich so alluring to anyone. A great cheesesteak requires an even mixing of the parts. That means the cheese is melted and mixed with each crevice of the beef and onions. The bread encases the entirety. Every single bite should be consistent with the last and the next.
However, in Jersey, one might think the best cheesesteaks only come from the boardwalks.
Voted the Best Cheesesteak in Bergen County according to their website, my partner and I decided to pay a visit to Bob-O’s Cheesesteaks, located on Main Street in Ridgefield Park, for lunch.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff at a simple and clean interior. Lighting is basic and bright with a row of full windows with single seating providing a more spacious feel as well as 4 tables indoors and 5 tables for outdoor dining during pleasant weather.
Their big-size menu is featured on the wall with cheesesteaks, egg rolls, sides, and much more.
We decided on the Bob-O Sandwich, Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, and Onion Rings.
Food was prepared fresh per order. The sandwiches were really delicious and served hot. However, the peppers used on the Bob-O killed it. It looked like roasted peppers from the jar were used and not the fresh peppers sautéed with onion. The onion rings were hot, crispy with no oil or sogginess and didn’t skimp. The portions were huge, and the price was comparable to the area. Service was fast and friendly.
Despite this hiccup, we would give this place another try.

I hadn’t been to this place in quite some time, and I heard that they changed owners so I thought I would give it a try! I was pleasantly surprised when all my food was fresh and delicious…
If you’re looking for something classic, I would recommend a build your own cheesesteak. Mine was incredible with just provolone, onions and steak top notch! They also have some thing called the hot daddy with chicken and a crazy amount of hot peppers and cheese so so far… Literally! And I would be remiss if I did not mention that you should get the onion rings with their amazing pink dipping sauce… And of course, a milkshake to wash it all down

I dropped in for a quick lunch and was surprised with the quality of service. Welcoming atmosphere, I got the Scarlet which was a different but awesome take on a classic steak. Their home made fries alone make the trip worth it!

Cheesesteak was nothing special. You can tell the onions were precooked and just sitting to the side of the grill until someone orders it. They didn’t taste good or fresh. I think it was a little small but it came with plenty of meat. The bread was so so. They could of done better I think. Came with ketchup packets and napkins in the bag. Ordered for pickup.

Yum!! Voted best cheesesteak in Bergen County? Sign me up!! All of the food was made to order and super fresh! The staff was super nice and the food came out quick. I love that they have weekly specials so you can try different flavors-I loved the truffle weekly special and the disco because I loooove disco fries. I loved the milkshakes too! There is plenty of seating and everything was super clean. The chili cheese fries were amazing and so were the cheesesteak egg rolls! Def worth a visit! Insta: @thehungrysw
