We had a fantastic meal at Spice Dunes in Farrington Gurney! I ordered the Vegetable Pasanda with pilau rice, and my wife had a beautifully spiced Vegetable Rogan Josh paired with egg fried rice — both dishes were rich, fragrant, and full of flavour. We shared a deliciously sweet peshwari naan, which perfectly complemented the meal. I enjoyed a crisp pint of Kingfisher while my wife sipped a smooth glass of Merlot. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with great service and stunning décor — including a wall of travel photography that really adds charm to the place. Absolutely rubbish!!
Normally go to shapla for a takeaway but thought we’d try spice dunes…a very long wait..1hr. Came bk…not very hot…nanas were way too doughy..rice was bland..and my prawn passanda was chewy!! And definitely not nearly as good as shapla…plus dearer!
What a disappointment
I’ve had several sit down meals there and always enjoyed but tonight it was a disaster.
Back to shapla in future!!

Went back after a 15 year break. They fitted us in at short notice, busy on a Tues due to the special offer, staff were great.
The food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Had a table for six here for a work outing and was very impressed by the food. Tried several of the curries and they were all very distinct and flavourful without being overly spicy. The naan breads were huge.
It did get busy (especially for a Monday!), so I’d recommend booking in advance.
All in all somewhere I would definitely recommend.

Can’t fault their service! We pre-ordered a 27-person order for our Christmas football night a few days before and when we arrived to collect it was ready straight away, packed in boxes and the kind gentlemen helped us with the boxes to the car. One curry was (easily) forgotten and we phoned and they delivered it straight away to us. All of the curries were delicious also. Can’t thank and recommend them enough
