We’ve been wanting to try this restaurant out for a while now and I am glad we did! There wasn’t a wait so, we were seated immediately. The service was swift! I tried the shrimp chimichanga for the first time and it was delicious. My friend had the beef burrito and she loved it! It’s a must that we return! Lastly, I recommend anyone to check it out for themselves:)

Checked out the new place today. Decor and atmosphere was warm and inviting. The salsa lacked spices and was heavy in tomato sauce. Hubby ordered the taco and enchilada lunch special. Taco was good and the enchilada has an interesting brown sauce on it compared to the usual red. He said they were okay. I ordered the Poco Loco and again, nothing really special stood out. Service was a bit slow but I think they were short handed like many other restaurants are. They’re new and learning as they go so yes, definitely will try them again down the road.

Luckily, we discovered this wonderful Mexican eatery during the Dalraida area blackout – if you know, you know. Anyway, El Mezcal is far superior to any other midtown Mexican in Montgomery. Food is excellent and servers are always smiling. Super clean and the salsa/hot sauce bar is a nice way to customize your meal.

Ordered on DoorDash to try for the first time today. Most items were pretty good. I only ordered cheese dip, because I assumed salsa was a guaranteed item, especially since you couldn’t order it. I received my order late and there was no salsa. I’m assuming they don’t send chips and salsa with your order. Just in case anyone was assuming like I was. You won’t receive any chips or salsa even with a large or “full” cheese dip order.

My experience at this location was not so great. It was a Sunday evening. Me and a family member went her to grab a bite to eat as we love Hispanic food. The environment was pretty fair and there was plenty room for us. Our waitress was very unfriendly. She was not welcoming at all, and we was just visiting here, supporting all we could. Anyhow, the chips was good, salsa runny some, we ordered pico to give it more flavor. I ordered the beef nacho special, Horrible. Not sure if it was the tomato’s or just the bland meat. Whom I was with ordered simple tacos, she rated them 3 out of 5. The total originally was 27.05
Once I seen my card get ran through, I was charged $30 and some change. The unwelcoming waitress advised she added the pico. Never even advised me on this. It was strange. It was one guy who noticed we was from out of town and made us feel a bit welcomed. But they gave him a look and made him leave out table to assist someone else. He was kind and we appreciated it. Overall I do not recommend and while I am very big on service and such, the tip provided for our waitress was to be more kind. That is all I have. Thank you

I had some food from here delivered, and it was fantastic and the order was correct. The chili con carne was best I’ve had along with the carne azada tacos! The red and green sauce that came with the tacos was wonderful. I put it on everything. The burrito supreme was wonderful as well. The salsa here is now my favorite salsa! I would be sure to check this place out sometime. We will be back very soon!!

We were the only customers. But, 7 out of 7 ppl in our group did not like or could not eat their meal. The kids pizza dough was raw and pizza cold. The French fries tasted awful, like the oil was bad. My steak in the quesidilla was rancid. So I sent it back to just get a cheese quesidilla. It came out cold and full of cold unrelated cheese. Everyone left a lot of food on their plate.
When we got the bill, they charged me full price for the steak quesidilla and also the cheese quesidilla. They seemed surprised when we questioned the bill but eventually redacted the steak. There was not even an apology or thank you for coming.

The horchata taste like kool ade…the salsa is nothing except tomato paste… and the taco salad was flavorless exception of the vegetables in it… the chips where good, and the server was adorable
