I love Anderson’s Country Store in Pittsgrove, NJ. This store offers so much to the customers. I love the look of Anderson’s Country Store. The employees are always helpful and very friendly. Anderson’s has fresh deli subs, candy, soda beverages, coffee, potato chips and much more. They have been open for a long time and I’ve never been disappointed with the food or the service. Anderson’s Country Store also has ice cream,so if you’re in the area stop on in.

I really REALLY wanted to love this place. An old mom and pop shop type look, with extremely friendly service. I even thought being cash only would make them more homey/old school. However, I’m EXTREMELY disappointed in my sub. To start, the bread is so hard, it actually locked my jaw and I really want to cry and leave work because of it. I threw the second half of my sandwich away. I tried to fight through the pain, but it just wasn’t worth suffering. As you can see from the photos, there were only 3 slices of meat on each half. It felt like I had a bread sandwich with a side of turkey to drape over top. Asked for extra extra mayo, barely any was on there. I even tried my husband’s Italian sub to try and give them the benefit of doubt. It was okay, nothing was exciting or stood out to me, his was hard as a rock as well. I literally had to bite down and pull/rip the bread to take a single bite. I’m at work and luckily I had a frozen meal as back up to pop into the fridge. To say I was extremely disappointed doesn’t even grasp my feelings right now. They have amazing reviews and I really don’t ever even want to come back.

We were recommended Anderson’s after recently moving to the area. It did not disappoint! The breakfast sandwiches were amazing, the women working were so kind, and the store itself was clean and well kept. We will definitely be back!

Great little country store tucked away in God’s Country. I liked the store, the woman behind the counter, $10.44 after tax and most of the roll. But the more I think about this cheesesteak; 1. it needed more cheese. 2. The mushrooms needed more grill time. 3. mushrooms and onions needed to be mixed with the meat and cheese better.

Stopped by for breakfast. Got two breakfast sandwiches, one on whole wheat, ham egg and cheese, the other on a kaiser bacon egg and cheese. We both enjoyed our selections. Met Nate Anderson, a great conversationalist, super nice guy and patriot.

I wish Anderson’s Country Store were near my house, because I would go there for everything.
The sandwiches and many types of baked goods are fresh and homemade.
I get hoagies and cookies.
They are not just for breakfast anymore! The staff is excellent overall and remarkably efficient, yet maintain a positive attitude even during busy times.
I would buy this place and deed restrict it so it stays like this forever.

I’m heartbroken that the store has been overlooked since 2020. But I’m glad my mom noticed their good sandwiches and their reasonable prices.

While traveling off the major highways through some of the nicest open country in this state to make a Craigslist purchase, I happened upon this place and decided to get a sandwich there. At first I thought it was a little pricey until I got it. Probably the best cheese steak I can remember having. Be sure to get the fried onions and roasted peppers and it was plenty large enough to fill me up! Mom and daughters that run the place were really nice too. I would highly recommend this place.
