I have not had the pleasure of dining in but ordered take out on at least 4 separate occasions and it has not disappointed me yet. I look forward to dining in soon but until then take out will do. My last order was the catfish and grits. The okra is always good and crisp. The Alabama Sunrise is my favorite so far.

The breakfast was amazing! Some of the best scrambled eggs I’ve had the pleasure of eating. The house made blueberry/pecan jam was perfect on my toast, also recommended by staff…thank you for that! I travel a lot and if I was in town more often, this would be my new favorite restaurant to eat at for breakfast, I’m sure brunch/lunch is just as good.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, just a great way to start my day!

This is the second time my family has visited Grit & Grind Cafe and we absolutely love it. The staff are very polite and courteous, the space is clean and welcoming, and the food always comes out hot and delicious. I love their special coffees so I got “The Facebook” and a breakfast burrito with Jalapeños. I was so excited I started eating before remembering to take a photo which is why my burrito is missing some parts. Highly recommend Grit & Grind to anyone looking for a hot delicious meal and great staff.

This is truly a southern breakfast/ brunch spot and I love that. No bells & whips, no mimosas just good food. My daughter had the chicken and waffle fries. I had the catfish and grits with okra. Both meals were great, although my fish was a tad undercooked on one piece. All the women we encountered that worked there were very courteous. I’ll definitely go back.

So I intended to come for brunch, but just missed it, so ordered lunch instead and it did not disappoint. Got the burger on Texas toast. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful.
The restaurant was spotless, and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely return for those shrimp and grits next time.

Came here for the first time this week. This is now my 2nd time. My Sis-in-law had surgery and i offered to get her some food. While i was getting her order, i figured I would get something for myself. WOW! HOOKED!!! I forgot the name of what i ordered, but it’s on the breakfast menu. EDIT: Breakfast club Sandwich. But as you can see in the pictures, it is a MASSIVE sandwich. And is so delicious. I usually have leftovers. Which yes, I eat later and is still delicious. Today I also tried a chocolate chip cookie. I am a cookie monster and my sweet tooth was satisfied. Their cookies will leave you wanting more. Their pickup orders are easy to find. Their staff is always so friendly. They say hello to me like they know me personally. That is a big deal. I’ve worked in customer service, and I can tell you, the ladies here are top-notch. Please give a hug to the people cooking because… chefs kiss, it is always so good. I have found my “usual” that I will be getting from here for now on.

I would’ve left 0 stars if it weren’t for the food. The food is well curated, but the service is horrendous.
What once was a sit down, family restaurant that we loved to support is now a fast food style joint that offers 0 customer service.
They don’t even offer free water for kids meals.
There is no longer table side service, you’re required to get your own drinks & refills, silverware, napkins, condiments.
Fast food style.
I watched a server tell an older couple that she would not get their silverware and made him get up to get their own forks. Disgusting. Not only that, but we spent $50 on a kids meal, pancakes and an entree… definitely not fast food prices.
Won’t be supporting this business again unfortunately.
