This has become one of my favorite restaurants. I’m from the Green Bay Area but have family in this area. They are moving soon but I’ll be taking the 2 hour drive just to get me some bbq! Much better than any other place I’ve been in Green Bay. Worth the price and worth the drive. Affordable too!

I visited my friend’s cabin in Forest County to experience the fall foliage in a small town. We decided to stop at Smokin’ J’s for some pulled pork dinners. I was excited to try this establishment due to the rave reviews. I was highly disappointed. The pulled pork was not what I expected or authentic. I could barely stomach it. I didn’t want to be rude and request a refund. My friend and I paid, left, and picked up the local Subway. If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would. It makes me wonder who wrote these reviews. Friends and family, maybe? I will never go there again!

In town for my daughter’s volleyball tourney and stumbled upon Smokin J’s. Greeted with a smile and nice clean bar/restaurant and bathrooms. Had a signature bloody and shared some excellent smoked pork nachos with my wife. Will stop back and recommend to friends!

Hear me out. You drive by “Duck’s Bar” and the outside looks very plain. But you go inside and it’s really been remodeled nicely – think lodge or cabin style. The food – well it’s absolutely amazing! We’ve been there a couple times and our favorites so far are the ribs, the brisket nachos and the burget. To top it off the baked beans and fries are awesome too! The staff is friendly and fast.
It’s a newer place and both times we’ve gone it’s been pretty quiet. My hope is it gets super busy and word gets out so it stays in business. Please go try it!
