What a fantastic place to eat. We got 5 tacos. On a scale of bestest to best, it was: Basic, el Turo, aloha, double decker, Baja fish taco. The Basic is perfectly crafted. Very traditional but also very tasty.
The environment was first class. Excellent decor and staff. The layout is fun and welcoming. There were families, groups of friends and couples just enjoying their food. Amazing time. Would recommend to our friends and family.

We decided to try out Mesa Tacos & Tequila for Valentines brunch. The Atmosphere was very welcoming, warm and relaxing. We sat at the bar and met the fantastic drink making wizards Rob and Chriatian that recommend the El Torro Benedict and the breakfast enchiladas. The Benedict was possibly the best thing I have EVER eaten. The kind of yumminess that wakes you up in the middle of the night because you are secretly craving this wonderful dish even in your sleep. The Expresso Martini and Bloody Mary were great too! Brittany was very sweet and friendly. We loved this dining experience and definitely will be back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

A great brunch spot, with the awards to back it up. The food is so good and a great vibe. Get there about 1030 before the crowds. The chorizo is awesome and so are the enchiladas, with free self serve coffee!!!! This is your Sunday brunch spot.

i’ve only been twice. first time was in person (see pic) + the second time i did an online order. food is great but this time when i made the online order they did not include one of the items that i paid for. when i called, they were already closed since it was sunday. to pay $7 per taco and them not even include it sucks. otherwise the food is good

As a group we tried 7 different tacos flavors, and everybody loved every taco they had. Really high quality food. We also got chips as an appetizer with guacamole, queso, and salsa. The portions of the dips were huge, which was nice because we kept eating them the whole meal.
Overall the price was decent for a nice restaurant.

What a great little find! The atmosphere draws you in with its modern and industrial vibe. The tacos and quesadillas are phenomenal! But the drinks…!! WOW! Totally unique and original. The Oaxaca Old fashioned and the Espresso Martini with Parmesan cheese will blow your mind! You need to try them!

The food was amazing, our tacos were delicious and not pricey at all. The wait was 30 minutes, which wasn’t crazy on a Friday night, but they had the gas fireplaces running… It was 95 degrees! Just turn it off, no one needs a fireplace when it’s that hot.

Everything was great. Happy hour specials were yummy. Got the chips, salsa and queso. Then the mini tacos were good but the Baja fish taco was amazing. Loved the atmosphere and the servers were friendly and helpful. What a fun place as well. I will be back.

I’ve been here several times since they have opened. Each time being a little different and every time I somehow am seated in the same spot lol!
The service is always top notch. Never have had to wait long, with staff always accommodating and receptive. The drinks are actually some of my favorite in downtown. (Try the La Sandia)

The meat is always just very salty tasting meat, not to mention very wet.
I understand a lot of meats are cooked slowly and contain a lot of juicy-ness which make them so amazing! I also understand that the meats in the same pan/pot are used in various dishes. So flavors have to be a certain way to fit the profile for multiple dishes on the menu.
But my brunch this morning was dissapointing.
The pork didn’t taste the best. To me, it tasted like very salty wet ham. As soon as I started digging into the beautifully displayed dish, I remembered that the pork and chicken both had me in previous visits. Both being very wet, unfavorable and salty. I gather that the ingredients with the dish are contributing to the flavor of the protein included. But the meat has just ruined the dishes I’ve tried.
But back to brunch. The taste of the ham was so strongly related to salty lunch meat flavor, and was not ideal. I did let the waiter know of my disappointment and didn’t end up of finishing my meal.
Of course, all this is my own opinion on the matter, and maybe these are the kind of flavors/ dishes they are going for.
I recommend giving this place a try.
But I’ll be looking for some new spaces for my taco fix. I hope the absolute best for their awesome business!
