Be very thankful this is not a 1 Star review. Arrived late November for dinner. Please see my other view (SoulEdge: Synergy…Let Yourself Free) After having dine at Surfclub, (inside the same building) I decided to dine at Lido. Met the host team, the bald gentleman (who is part of the Host Team) informed me I can only dine until 8 pm. That’s ok. Met servers, but I guess that night really wasn’t ready. I just ordered a latte and Profiteroles Alla Nocciola. Paid my check & tipped well (like I always do) as I passed by the same Host Team (the 2 females, one with long black hair & one with brown hair & bald gentleman) informing them I will dine near the Bar section. Seconds later I heard a vulgar comment behind my back, & folks are taking pictures in front of me. So I couldn’t move to turn around & find out who it was. A male employee (Armando, I believe his name) guiding me where the mens bathroom is located. As I passed by the Host Team, (on my left) I clearly heard the bald (from the host team) said “Gay”. Mind you, I’m racing to the bathroom. But when I returned, I diplomatically told them about the vulgar comment. The brown hair hostess (the only member who replied) said “Have a Good Evening, sir.” No one else from the Host team said “it wasn’t me nor I never said that comment.” Met Yana my server (she gave good service) and I ordered a Smashed Burger, I couldn’t even finish it. Literally it wasn’t a good night. Christopher (a manager) & I talked about the vulgar comment. Slipped my mind about the other Gay comment by the Host Team. I gave him (I might have missed a number) my contact info. But I do remember giving my phone number to the Host Team. And told him to check the video cameras. As I’m writing this review, nobody has gotten back to me. This review was supposed to be dedicated to my then German American ex girlfriend who looks like Lagertha from a vikings tv show. Cue in the song “The Gael” it’s a song by Dougie MacLean.
Update: 12/19/25 I read the reply from Hotel Manager Mr. Lanaud. Apologies for my late reply & I give thanks for responding. Gratitude
The legendary Surf Club meets the luxury Four Seasons. Employee front of the Surf Club helped me out. Met my server Strahinja, I ordered Eggs Benedict. The muffins were crisp, well cooked ham, poached eggs just needed 12 more seconds. Wished the dish came with potatoes. Then I ate Avocado Toast. Although good breakfast. Gave a 20 for gratuity. Lina the hostess, kudos for situation awareness. Ate again for lunch, Milana (btw gave good service) told me pizza oven wasn’t working. I said that’s ok, things happen. Ate bread basket & that left only room for my double patty cheeseburger w/fries. Perhaps I will stop by again for dinner or dessert. This review is based on both visits. Its dedicated to my then ex German American girlfriend who looks like Lagertha from a vikings tv show. Cue in the song “For You” by Liam Payne and Rita Ora. And song “All Of Me” by John Legend (ft. Lindsey Stirling)
We enjoyed a relaxing slow lunch by the pool with a variety of delicious dishes.
The setting is beautiful and quiet. Perfect for a ladies or business lunch
Bottom line: Go and enjoy it, but review your check very carefully, and be sure if they split your check the separated checks add up to the original total. (This was also an issue for us where we were overcharged AGAIN, where the manager even tried to brush it off)
It’s rare to find a spot that combines great atmosphere, excellent service, and such quality drinks all in one. Highly recommend!
We stayed at the four season hotel and this is pretty close. The amenities in this restaurant is appealing. Would recommend if going on a date or romantic dinner. The overall price range is fair.
