I think it was just a bar room masquerading as a restaurant. So if you’re looking for a bar it might be ok. But I wasn’t looking for a bar so I can’t rate them for that.
The service wasn’t good either. On arrival there was only one other table with a few patrons. The waiter was doing well but service was being affected badly because there was only one guy making food…at….noon…lunch time. He must have gotten the order of tickets mixed up because a family of four that arrived 20 minutes AFTER us got their order at least 20 minutes before us. It was 50 minutes before the food came out. 30 minutes in we were online looking for somewhere else to go but just before leaving the food finally arrived.
I wouldn’t go back there.
Two tables next to us were cleared, each waitress walked by us at least 2 times, but no one asked if we were being helped or if we wanted a drink or anything.
I could cut them a break if the place was super busy, but it was more than half empty. The place looked very unorganized, never going back.
The servers are all awesome, they take care of you!
Try Mill City and you will be glad you did.
See you there!
We will be starting a new season this April.
Mill City Pub has a Comfy rustic-industrial atmosphere, with an extensive Draft beer selection, including Local Cider on draft, with an incredible tapas menu. I tried the Sweet Dream Flatbread– Braised pork, brown sugar caramelized onions and brandy apple+pears topped with melty Gouda cheese—Incredibly delicious… with these homemade dipping sauces and wings with strawberries, blueberries and a sweet glaze making the wings so crispy… YUM.
From the amazing renovation we’ve seen at Campus Pizza from this same team, to the high-quality renovation and amazing food I’ve already tasted from Mill City Pub ;-), I know they are going to do really well.
I hope to see everyone give it a try (It’s open now at 19 Airport Rd, Fitchburg!! Hours: 11 am to 2 am every day) and come back regularly, to patronize our newest business here in Fitchburg, and I think Chris Ryan, Lawrence Lagoy and Jessica Lagoy (Owner) are exemplary of the kind of committed business people we want here in Fitchburg.
Thanks to the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce for the great ribbon cutting!
We requested the appetizer nachos with pulled pork and no olives. The server told us they were out of pulled pork. Asked for beef. He left and returned to let us know there was no beef. Finally settled on chicken. Nachos were served AFTER the meal WITH olives. I didn’t send it back since I was almost done with my meal by then. The chicken was not seasoned, like boiled plain chicken breast. Yuck.
