Delicious! Nice little place with friendly staff and amazing food! Well seasoned, flavorpacked, and filling! We had the samosas and they were tasty and the dipping sauce was delicious. We also had the lamb and chicken curry on spice level 2 and it was perfect. Would come back here the next time I’m in town.

Overall Rating: 2/5 Stars (Based on limited menu experience)

Date of Visit: 10/30

Occasion: Casual Meal

Summary & First Impression
Our visit to Taste of Nepal was a practical necessity, as it was the only available dining option serving Indian cuisine at the time. The immediate goal of a quick meal was met, but the overall experience was underwhelming, specifically regarding the dishes we ordered. While I cannot recommend a visit based on my experience, I acknowledge that my judgment is limited, as I did not sample enough of the menu to form a definitive opinion on the full range of their offerings.

Atmosphere & Logistics
Location: The restaurant is situated conveniently on a main road.

Parking: We were able to find parking, though the number of available spots appears to be limited.

Seating/Size: The interior is quite small, hosting approximately seven to eight tables. This contributes to a quiet, relatively uncrowded dining environment.

Food Quality & Value
Dishes Ordered: Aloo Paratha and Raita
The Aloo Paratha was the most disappointing aspect of the meal. It was noticeably lacking in flavor, feeling more like a simple mixture of flour and potato rather than a richly spiced, traditional paratha. The taste and texture were closer to a plain potato roti (flatbread).

Value Concern: A significant issue was the pricing for some bread items. A single, plain Tawa Roti was listed at approximately $4.99 or $5.00, which struck me as an excessively high cost for a basic item, raising concerns about overall menu value.

Conclusion & Recommendation
The meal served its purpose—it filled our stomachs—but it did not inspire. There was no element of the dining experience that prompted us to leave a tip or made us eager to return.

Final Verdict: My experience with the Aloo Paratha was poor. However, given that I only sampled a very limited portion of the menu, it’s possible the restaurant excels at other dishes. I did not order enough to confidently dismiss the establishment entirely, but based on the quality and perceived value of the items I did try, I would not make a special trip to return or recommend it to others at this time.

Very authentic Indian food! We came here on our redwood trip and was amazed with the quality of food in remote area. Naan was nicely done, jeera rice, dal was very good. Paneer tikka masala was the best.. Service was great too. No wonder why they have such a good reviews. Thank you guys for awesome food. Sheru was our host

Oh my GOODNESS! Went here as a treat with my oldest (28yo) child for Mother’s Day. It was Definitely a Treat! As soon as we walked up to the door and the incredible smell of Yummy food wafts out the door… I was on board! Tea was wonderful – not too hot, and the taste was a perfect blend of spices. The Naan was great! The rice was awesome. Main dish – #33! Amazing!!! Our server asked how spicy we wanted it. It’s curry! It’s going to have a “little” heat anyway. I opted out, although my child! Said on a scale from 1-5… a 1 should be good. I looked across the table a few bites in… my kid was sweating! Lo, I will Absolutely be going back and raving about this place to friends and family!

Ok. Roti was fresh and excellent. Curry was good. Tandoori Chicken was too dry and didn’t seem cooked to order but ok flavor.

First time here, we loved it! Small place. Food was served fast, hot and it was very tasty. The staff was friendly. Our favorite dish was the shrimp Chillie, it was bit spicy even though we asked for medium spice but delicious. If you do not eat spicy foods ask for it without the hot spices. The noodles were very good too. We also had shrimp cumin curry which was very good as well. Oh, and the naan bread with the butter was delicious. Our mango Lassi were also very tasty. We will definitely be coming back.

We discovered a fantastic, friendly restaurant in a small town. The place is very tidy, and the food is fresh at a reasonable price. Be sure to try the Jhol MoMo.

Very bad food. Chowmein were just tumeric coated noodles with no lemon or vinegar or anything to cut through the power texture on noodle. Roti was the only good thing. Plain steamed Rice too. Raita was horrible, I have not been to a place in my life that has bad raita. I felt like puking after tasting it. Felt like polar plunge then lava plunge all at same time, yikes!!!! Service wise they were only two people taking orders and cooking too. They removed the two dishes from the bill hence two stars. Else we were self serving pretty much, passing on the plates and silverware, they just gave us a stack. Food also we were passing to the right person they just put at corner of table. Veg momo were useless, no flavor. Mutter paneer was super sweet, but out of all it was eatable.

I tried the Himalayan briyani for the first time here and it was really delicious. It didn’t have the strong spice like Indian bryani but had a unique mild flavor that I love. The fried okra was my new favorite dish now. The service was excellent too. Stopping for lunch here was a good start for my vacation up north.

Ordered to-go. Serving sizes were small – easily half the size they should be for the price/quality.
The lamb was overcooked and flavorless, 10 small bites on a bed of raw onion for $20 is a hard sell.

I worked in restaurants for over 5 years and was very surprised by the lack of standard in product.
I love seeing diversity of quisine in our town, and was so excited to try this, but they’ve got to step their game up.
