The Ruben sandwich is amazing! I would only come here for that sandwich or maybe a beer. Unfortunately, when you walk in, it smells like dirty mop water. The waitress was super nice but didn’t refill our water and took forever to bring the checks. I wanted to like this place, but it was just meh.. except for the Ruben.

Some days they have amazing food other days they burn it.. we stopped going for a long time because the food got really bad but then we have it a shot years later and a few times over the last couple months the meals have been AMAZING but then tonight our food is super burnt! I think it heavily depends on the cook but the waitresses have all been super nice!

Doc’s use to be a great place to eat. Now, it is a hit and miss. Went in just for the country Fried Steak, and once we did get out food, it came burnt. Let the waitress know and she didn’t offer to get me a new one or take it off the bill. I guess, I just am going to give up on this place.

Worst food I have ever had. Ordered a patty melt. After waiting 45 minutes I was served a rare piece of hamburger. Wasn’t even a patty. No cheese mo sautéed onions. Will never go back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Transported a dog from Great Falls to Lewistown thought I would get a burger before the trip back. Found out they serve breakfast until 2:00 PM, I ordered the Doc’s Breakfast, 2 eggs, meat, hashbrowns and toast. Biscuits and gravy sounded good, but I opted for the eggs. Very good and hit the spot. I might have to steal them and move them to Great Falls.

Cooks are extremely slow and do not seem to know what they are doing. They make one plate at a time when the place is busy, and you can hear them yelling at each other in frustration. Breakfast is pretty simple to make. It’s been 40 minutes since our order was taken, and still waiting for chicken fried steak and eggs. This happened 3 weeks ago, and we came back to see if it was just a bad day for them. Guess not. The servers try, but the cooks keep them waiting since they are so inept.
Food finally came. 55 minutes after the order was taken. Chicken fried steak with brown gravy instead of sausage. The hash browns were hash whites and undercooked. Eggs were cold. I sent it back. My wife’s hash browns and eggs were the same way. Bacon was cooked but on the low end . We got a box for it to give to the dogs. They wanted me to pay for the chicken fried steak breakfast, but after a little discussion, they finally took it off. Heard one of the cooks telling someone they were slammed. Having been in the business for a number of years, I know slammed. They were busy, but not so busy this should have happened. They were a long way from being slammed, and from what I could see the problems are from the cooks. It’s time for them to go back to burger king and re-evaluate their career choice.
Like I said, this was the second time it was like this with the same cooks. There will not be a third, and my only recommendation to people will be to stay away unless you have a lot of time to kill, and if they like cold undercooked food.

This place is a great place to eat breakfast. They have amazing breakfast foods and specials! But as far as dinner goes, not impressed. This is my second bad experience here. I had a French dip and the meat was like leather and full of fat. My girlfriend had the same thing and it was the same way. The mashed potatoes were solid and super thick. You could cut them in half and half two distinct sides. The ambience is terrible at night. It isn’t very welcoming. Our waitress was very nice tho. The people are always great!
