Just moved here from Fort Worth, TX and let me tell you this is fantastic BBQ! We have been here a few times since moving, always a great experience. We’ve had the ribs, pork, “both are in pictures” and the first time we had the brisket. The ribs are fall off the bone, the brisket was fantastic the pork was delicious. They do provide sauce, but with BBQ done right sauce isn’t necessary, although the sauce comes in handy, I like it on my hotdogs. You will not be disappointed!

This is the best BBQ we’ve found in the CSRA in the last three years. My wife and I shared a 2-meat and a 3-meat plate (we got the chopped beef, chopped pork, wings, sausage, and ribs) with green beans, potato salad, baked beans, macaroni & cheese, and cornbread as sides. The kids were less adventurous, opting for chicken tenders with mac & cheese and fries on the side.
Everything we got was delicious and portioned appropriately. None of the meats needed sauce, but the BBQ sauce they provided was also great. Even my wife loved it – and she hates the more mustard-and-vinegary BBQ sauces.
The only improvements I would like to see — and which weren’t a big enough deal to give them less than five stars — are: the cornbread was a little dry; the potato salad could have used more mustard; and I wasn’t able to try the coleslaw, but hopefully I will the next time!
The service was as expected for ordering at the counter, and the young woman at the register was a delight!
There’s not a lot of ambience in the place. Basic diner tables and a television on the back wall that was just playing music. The place closes at 7:00, and we got there at 6:00. We didn’t plan to stay and eat, and were back at home in Grovetown enjoying everything by 7:00.

They serve the best take out BBQ and vegetables I’ve ever had, bar none. Sometimes it’s hard to get ahold of them, but it’s worth the trouble. What’s good? Chopped pork and chopped beef, Collard Greens, Mac and Cheese, green beans, everything I’ve tried. And the sauce is fantastic, too. WAIT! I forgot about the ribs! Don’t forget the ribs!

They ignore the phone calls around 5 . My fiancé called abs they were playing on the phone. She went there while I was calling and they said they’ve not taking abyss calls rudely. They didn’t give me all the food ordered. But the flavor of what I did get was pretty good. Maybe staffing but it wasn’t the experience I was told about.

I always enjoy getting bbq from here. It’s convenient in the middle of south Augusta/Hephzibah and it’s delicious. I enjoy the rib dinners and the slaw dogs and sausage dogs are they also have some of the best greens and hash and rice I’ve had outside of my momma.

Today was first time at Dennis’. I was amazed at the quick service and of out of this world delicious bbq! Everyone was friendly. The atmosphere was true southern! Don’t ask for unsweetened tea! There is no such thing there We will return!
