Great local dive! Try something other than fast food and franchise – this is GREAT! Owner & Chef working hard! Staff was friendly and made sure we were satisfied! ***Bring Cash. There are 2 booths for dine in eating. We noticed most took their order to go. Sandwiches are large! Husband ate all his – I could have shared!

I had the mushroom cheese steak with everything and it was unbelievably delicious. The picture only shows half of the sandwich which I will eat tomorrow because I couldn’t possibly eat any more than half. I haven’t had that much meat on a sandwich since I moved south. I would recommend this place highly to anybody who’s looking for a really good cheesesteak. It definitely a perfect mixture of meat and cheese and just enough lettuce and tomato and onion to accent it. We watched him cut the meat fresh before he chopped it up to cook it. I can’t say enough good things about how delicious the sandwich was.

We had such an amazing experience here at Taste of Phillie!! I highly recommend you check them out. Meals are made with fresh ingredients, cooked properly. Dishes should taste great every time, not just once in a while, and believe me this is all the time for this food stop. Food that looks appealing will enhance the experience, and they did not fail. Warm greetings and polite interactions set the tone, always. This couple has a life story that is so touching, it will change your life.

This is what ppl mean when they say “it’s a hole in the wall & the food is amazing”….I was already sold from the photos from other reviews but I had to experience this for myself. Our Philly’s were flavorful and packed with meat…nothing more frustrating when the bread/meat ratio is off and you end up with NO meat but there was meat falling from everywhere :)…can’t wait to go back, this place is a local staple and I’ll be standing in that line again happily & soon enough. Mr Matt welcomed me and even showed me the quality of meat he cuts daily to make his Philly’s out of the fridge. This place is a MUST TRY…do yourself a favor and thank me later. Those red velvet cupcakes ended up being the best red velvet I’ve had, ever!!!! See yall soon!!!
