the historic atmosphere is nice and I got the pulled chicken sandwich ($8) with overall average prices. BUT the serving system is so weird! I got my food from where i ordered like a food hall and to get water you have to go to the bar and ask which I was ignored till a second lady came into the bar. Also as expected for a bar but the tables are sticky as well

I was really impressed by the quality of the food here. The sandwiches were well prepared with fresh ingredients, and the chicken tenders were perfectly cooked — crispy, tender, and full of flavor. Excellent service and a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting again.

This place exceeded my expectations. Its in a historical train station . So beautiful. Large. The bar is great. Lots of amazing frozen drinks like lemonade slushy. Thyme keeps on sipping drink was delicious. The easiest whisky drink ever. Highly recommend both drinks. The sides were stand alones. The waffle fries snd dip a 10. Comforting like chips and onion dips. The street corn was outstanding. Juicy and fresh and the toppings hit every taste buds and texture. The fried green tomatoes, with pimento toppings was the best i ever had. Quality bite. We had the works. The baby back ribs, pastrami, pulled chicken and pork freaking amazing. Smoky flavor. Fell off the bone. Quality taste. The wings and white sauce Outrageously delicious. We left none behind. Nice charr grilled asparagus. The tomato salad was fresh and light. Reminded me of homade summer salads from the market. The staff and customers great. Patrick and Chris went above and beyond. Fun games and events going on. Highly recommend. Best bbq up North.

This place has really great barbecue. The chicken wings are cooked well but didn’t have much flavor. I wish the portion for the brussel sprouts was bigger and the kimchi apples weren’t actual “kimchi” since it wasn’t fermented therefore wasn’t really kimchi flavor either. The brussel sprouts were yummy. We got the loaded fries and since they were so loaded they got very soggy by the end but in the beginning they were good!
Alcohol is served separate at the bar inside. I paid cash and the guy never gave me back the change and assumed the leftover was a tip. Luckily it was, but my party still found it rude that he never returned. I also needed to ask for a glass of water and was hoping when he gave my change I could ask. Another bartender saw us looking for a tender and helped us. Weird
Everything is a la carte (order and pay per item) and there are no servers. Someone comes around to buss the tables but otherwise nobody is serving you. It equals out for the slightly high prices. You get a buzzer and go to the front to pick up your food. There’s a Gatorade jug in the corner with water if needed.
I’d come here again and would want to try experiencing the outside area in the summer away from the loud sports games on the tv

Excellent food, everything was delicious. I am not a big fan of asparagus, but the seasoning was perfect. Ribs were my favorite, compared to brisket. The green fried tomatoes were best I have had, but that orange cheese topping is cute, but needs to be put as a side option, not on top of this crispy perfectly made tomato. The corn bread was really a corn muffin. They need to update it on menu, cause I wanted a corn bread, soft, square corn bread. Not a round dry muffin. The reason, they do not get a 5 star, is sitting area is uncomfortable for the benches are too close to other people, so u are literally back to back and I touch lady behind me by mistake. All the benches were all crooked so it was hard to get in. For $60 plus bill, u expect a wait staff to bring your food and drink. What was also annoying was having to pay drinks separately, and constantly having to get up to get a refill.

Food was real good, loved the space, vibe, and live music. But… Ive never had quieter, more indifferent bartenders in my life. They didnt talk to each other or the patrons. Just head down and doing the bare minimum. Glass empty? You better ask for another. Need a fork? Try to get their attention. For me, service is everything, so left disappointed after the food was done.

This is my new favorite place and I’m kind of mad that I didn’t know about it before this. Came here for father’s day and it was awesome. Big spot, plenty of seating indoors and two outdoor areas. Great vibe, multiple Foosball tables and games you can get at the bar. Live music inside and outside – amazing. Bars inside and outside, with a great local beer selection and cocktails. The food is exactly what you want. I tried the brisket and plenty of sides too. Not disappointed with anything. The brisket is buttery and smoky and great bark. There are a couple of BBQ sauces and I like the sweet one a lot. I might sleep here so I can wake up and do it again – new favorite spot!

It’s pretty much self-serve go order your food at the window. Go order your drinks at the bar, but the food is amazing to smoke on the baby back. Ribs was delicious.

I have died here over a dozen times in the past five years. This place has really fallen off over the past couple years, and it’s not clear why. Really fun ambiance, but the food situation has become kind of disastrous. Frequently, the barbecue will not even be warm when you get it. Disturbingly short amount of time for them to prepare it, almost like they are just scooping slop onto plates. Quite a dramatic decrease in quality from even just three years ago. I’m guessing they had a great chef who simply left and now they are just going through the motions with no real sense of quality control. Hopefully, they can turn it back around.

Stopped in on a cool Friday night for some outdoor BBQ left wishing that everything was more polished. Ordering the same drink from two different bartenders resulted in two wildly different drinks neither of which seemed to be what was on the menu. Brisket was very fatty and while its great that it wasn’t dry it felt like getting short changed. Fried chicken was great( the 4 piece) while the fried chicken sandwich was just fine. Mac and cheese and cornbread were also just fine. Street corn had fennel seed in the seasoning for some reason and was not enjoyable. Tomatoes in the feta salad were really soggy. Feels like it has a lot of things going for it but needs to be fine tuned to be a really great welcoming experience. Space is huge there’s no reason why this place shouldn’t be a huge hit in Montclair. Good luck and I hope you get it ironed out! I’ll check back in a few weeks/months to see how it’s going !
