Did not eat the food, my partner and I had just come from Scales! The small plates sounded great based off one menu. Such a beautiful bar, I heard it was new and someone from Scales Portland gave us the recommendation!! I LOVE cider, wines, fruits I’m not a big fan of beer and this was such a great choice. The NH FIRESTARTER was incredible. Kind of sad I couldn’t take a bottle home. Jess? Jen? Blonde bartender in plaid last night (1/2) was so nice and fun! I will definitely be back, a flight of 4 pointings was $25. The Brazilian playlist was a HIT I’m from Chicago and it has a great vibe.

Amazing experience with Spanish vermouth and gin/tonic! First, go because the owner and her staff are warm, engaging, and super knowledgeable about their drinks. Second, enjoy a cider, Spanish vermouth (NOT to be confused with Italian vermouth), or a Spanish-inspired gin & tonic (think healthy, medicinal-size portion). Finally, relax into a bassa nova inspired vibe with friends old and new.!

Anoche has perhaps some of the best ciders we’ve tasted so far in 2025. Service was a bit slow, but the drinks we tried were phenomenal. Absolutely would come back.

Anoche might just be one of Portland’s best-kept secrets in the drinking scene. We’ve been a handful of times now, and every visit leaves us asking the same thing: “Why don’t we come here more often?!” Inspired by Spain’s Basque Country, this place is a total gem.

If you’re into vermouths and ciders, Anoche is non-negotiable. If not, no worries. They’ve got plenty of gins, beers, and cocktails as well. The vermouth menu is ridiculously impressive, with options from all over Europe. The food is also a must. The smoked fish spread we tried recently was phenomenal, and the sourdough it came with was perfect. They also have pintxos (small Spanish bites) and I can’t wait to work my way through more of them.

The space itself is stunning — easily one of the most beautiful interiors in Portland. From the moment you step through the beautiful wooden doors, you’re greeted by vibrant colors and thoughtful details that make you feel like you’ve been whisked away to another place entirely.

We’re big fans of Anoche and can’t recommend it enough!

This is a cider bar amped up another level. You immediately feel relaxed and mellowed out when you walk in. The music is on point and it looks like you walked into a temple. Tremendous artwork around the interior and the bathroom sink is the coolest sink I’ve ever seen. They have all types of ciders from around the country, along with other spirits. I didn’t have one, but their gin drinks look great.

Everything is perfect!
Food is tasty, drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is perfect for a date night!

Highly recommend!

We had the Grilled Sourdough w. Salted Butter, Iberico Chorizo, Caramelized Pearl Onion and Pipara and the Tuna Tin Casserole!

They are great!

Coming for more next week!

The vibe is great and the food and drinks transport you to a cool little spot in Porto or the Galician coast. If you’re in Portland this is a must visit for vermouth, cider, and tinned fish.

We were leaving Oxbow and decided to check out Anoche because it looked like a cool spot. It didn’t disappoint! It was pretty quiet for a Thursday night, so we got our pick of one of the the many seats they had inside at the bar or at tables. The bartender was really chill and helpful, describing the different options on the menu and helping us narrow in on a cocktail. They have tons of cider, but the gin and tonic I ordered was so, so good! It was mild and really smooth, with a light cucumber flavor. We would definitely come here again!

An absolute gem of a place to grab cider or a great gin and tonic. Their list of ciders is extensive and the staff is knowledgeable about the selection. The gin and tonics are inventive and beautiful. The vibe is exceptional, beautiful, low key, great music. I highly recommend Another
