I’m in town for work and didn’t really feel like going anywhere, so I decided to order some barbecue through Uber Eats from Oklahoma Smoke. I got the two meat plate with pork ribs and sliced brisket, along with mac and cheese and barbecue beans as my sides. I also added chicharrones and a side of hot links.

When my food arrived, my sides were missing. No mac and cheese, no beans. So I ended up with just a box full of meat. The brisket was a little dry, and the ribs were really dry. The meat by itself was very bland. I want to be able to eat barbecue that tastes great on its own because good barbecue doesn’t need sauce to be good, but this absolutely required barbecue sauce to have any flavor, and I’m just not down for that.

People talk a lot about good barbecue around here, mostly in Texas, but Oklahoma gets mentioned too, and I was hoping to be impressed. Unfortunately, I wasn’t. It was just okay at best, and honestly, I wouldn’t order it again.

I’m really upset about my sides. It would be nice to have some sides to accompany all of this meat I’m eating.

Excellent BBQ and service. I tried the Smoked Turkey Club Sandwich with Onion Rings and a side of Okra. It was the best Turkey club I’ve ever tasted, Bar None! The Onion Rings were crispy and delicious and so was the Okra! we had 6 in our party and I heard no complaints, just the sound of eating and contentment. The portions are decent and most took home left overs. One of my dinner guests order a loaded bake potato with chopped brisket. it looked awesome and it was HUUUUUGE!

It’s a small Café sized restaurant occupying a space in the “Exchange Building” that’s been around and serving Cowboys and Ranchers for years! We where lucky enough (and totally by coincident) to be there on their 1 year anniversary, so as a surprise to us and all patrons that evening, we each received free Root Beer floats with our dinner! What a nice surprise that was!!

Came for the BBQ, stayed for the smoked club. We have had the BBQ at the Moore location and it’s our favorite for BBQ in OKC. We wanted to try some different things on their menu and this club did not disappoint! Fresh tomatoes and lettuce and tender smoked turkey with delicious bacon! This will change how you eat your club sandwich. The potato salad is delicious and so are their onion rings.
We are burger people and wanted to try this as well. Had a nice smoke flavor and bun held up to all the juices and smother cheese! WA it our favorite burger? No. But was it a good burger? Yes. If you are craving a burger, you will be happy with it.
You pay attention the register…fyi.
Lots of booth seating with a few tables and a round one for a larger party. Don’t skimpnon this place! Such a great addition to downtown. We will be back to try their breakfast.

If you’re in Oklahoma City and craving a BBQ experience that truly stands out, Oklahoma Smoke Cafe in Stockyards City is a must-visit. Their Tomahawk steak is the crown jewel—thick-cut, beautifully smoked, and bursting with flavor. It’s tender, juicy, and has a smoky crust that adds the perfect char. This isn’t just a great steak—it’s the kind of dish that defines what a top-tier BBQ restaurant should be.
The portion is generous, the seasoning is spot-on, and the quality is unmatched. Other BBQ spots and steakhouse should be rated against this—it’s that good. The sides are just as impressive, and the staff makes you feel right at home with warm, attentive service.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through Stockyards City, this place delivers a BBQ experience you won’t forget. Highly recommended!

Amazing food. Amazing prices. The menu is small, but it is great. If you’re in the area, eat here. Make a detour, if you can, it is worth it.

2nd time I’ve got food from this place the first time they forgot half the ingredients on the food like on the hot dog it came out plain. Today the sausage tasted like plain Jane grocery store sausage for $6. Beans had hardly any meat the green beans were very good again and the ribs didn’t even taste seasoned. And they forgot the bbq sauce again even after tipping well. This place has been horrible both times for me…

So, to be clear, I highly recommend this place. Been there plenty of times and can say;
The food is great.
It’s never crowded.
Be prepared for it to be cold in there. It’s not their fault.
We had the Pitmaster’s Choice.
See the picture. It was fantastic. Really really good!

We had a great time eating here!!! They owners were super friendly and the food was so good!!!
When we walked in, they told us to sit anywhere we wanted, and I like that!
We went with the big sampler platter. It came with chopped brisket, sausage, ribs, pulled pork, and 5 different sides. For the sides, we went with the green beans, mac and cheese, backed beans, potatoes, brown gravy, and coleslaw, and they also brought out the jalapeño pasta salad. Let’s start off with the brisket. I’m a huge brisket lover!! So I have a few suggestions. The brisket was a little dry even tho we had the point it was still a little dry. It also needs more salt. Unfortunately, I had to add BBQ sauce to enjoy it. That was super hard for me to do! It seems like a sin to put sauce on brisket, but I guess sometimes you need to. Next, the pulled pork was also a little dry, but it had a good smokey flavor . On to the sausage. It was OK and paring it with their gold sauce it was good. Definitely not made in-house. On to the pork ribs. These were not fall off the bone tender. They had a good flavor but not done enough for my taste. On to the chicken quarter, the flavor was good. And it fell apart like it was cooked just right. I think it was yesterday’s chicken but it was good!!
They also brought us out a sample of turkey, and it was awesome! The turkey was moist and super flavorful!!
On a side note, all the meat came out just a little under the temp. It was also a cold day, but I think it all could have been a little hotter.
On to the sides
Let’s start with the baked beans. These were nothing special. I think they were out of the can with a little extra meat. Next, let’s go to the coleslaw. This was super fresh with a little apple juice, I think, to give it a sweet kick. It was good! Next, the mac n cheese. This was nice and creamy but was lacking a little flavor. Maybe add a touch of salt… but it was also good! Next, the mashed potatoes with brown gravy. She said that the potatoes were mashed fresh, but they tasted like instant potatoes, and the gravy was definitely from a packet. The flavors of both were good. On to the pasta salad. He said they got the recipe from tick tok and made it better…. it tasted like it wanted to be a jalapeño popper pasta salad… the flavor was ok….on to the star of all the sides we tasted! The GREEN BEANS!!! WOW, OH WOW!!! These were great!! Home run on these alone!!! They had just the right amount of fat and savery and salt and acid!! Perfect all the way!! The bacon in this dish was perfect!!
To finish off the meal, we had the banana pudding. I loved how simple this was! It was also good! Keep up the hard work!! If you are in the Oklahoma City area, you don’t want to miss this place!! It’s right next to a live cattle auction that takes place every Monday and Tuesday, so it’s super fun!!! It’s definitely worth the stop!! Thanks, guys!!!
