I really wanted to give credit to this place, however they did not follow through on their word.
I drove five hours to San Diego and was extremely hungry. This place was recommended to me. Knowing that I was craving tacos. I had a $60 order and when I received my order there was no salsa or toppings on any of my tacos, my asada fries had nothing on them, but carne asada and barely any cheese. they are advertised with guacamole and other toppings.
When I had called the restaurant to try and resolve this issue, I was told that they had an incident where somebody has stolen my food prior to me going to pick it up. I understand this is outside of their control, but with the Time spent driving to San Diego and looking for a good meal, I was not going to go back and have them remake my food, which was their first offer. When I asked for a refund, it was very strange that they could not process my refund there in that moment. They try to say it was because I ordered through DoorDash or Uber eats, but I had ordered directly through their app and didn’t understand why they couldn’t process the refund. They asked for my phone number and asked if they can call me back within an hour to process the refund. This happened on Friday night. It is now Monday morning and I have not received any call or update on my refund. This is poor management and poor customer service. Just for that reason alone I will not be returning nor recommending this place.

Hands down the absolute best tacos in Tijuana! There’s usually a line to get seated, but don’t let that discourage you—it moves relatively fast. The operation is like a well-oiled machine with so many different stations for the team to prep and cook, which keeps the food coming out fresh and hot.
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. If it’s your first time, you have to try the adobada or the carne asada. There’s a reason this place is Michelin-recommended and was featured on Netflix!

Wow, in just 1 week. I’ve been here 3 times! What does that tell you about a Taco restaurant who provides superb service and food is delicious. The tacos are flavorful, have so much taste in one bite. You just can’t eat 1 taco but 2 is perfect. The size of the tacos are the size of 3 regular tacos thats why the tacos are a bit pricier. Id definitely be coming back and recommending Tacos El Franc.

Five stars (in the context of taco stands). It was a fun outing, good energy from the patrons and staff. Expect a line before you get seated, but it moves quickly. We were there at five on a Friday and the two of us were seated within ten minutes and our order taken within the next five. Unlike most taco stands where your order at the counter, there are waitresses at El Franc. Parking can be interesting, there is an adjacent parking lot staffed by attendants (who work for tips, should you feel so inclined) but getting out is not for the inexperienced or faint hearted. But, hey, it’s TJ. What did you expect? Okay, on to the tacos. I ordered one adobada, one vegetarian, and one asada. They were all good. My favorite was the adobada, which they serve instead of al pastor–it’s similar but there’s no pineapple. You also get a plate of sliced cucumbers and radishes, which you can enjoy as a salad/palate cleanser, along with a generous bowl of sliced limes. The tacos come with onion, cilantro, salsa, and a generous dollop of mashed avocado on top. Each taco is fully loaded with meat (except for the taco vegetaranio, of course, which was surprisingly good). You may want to order a couple of extra tortillas and side cup of beans (I did). Overall it’s a fun, affordable, and tasty experience.

We’ve tried tacos in many places, and Tacos El Franc in TJ truly stands out as some of the best—if not the best—we’ve ever had. We ordered both carne asada and lengua tacos, and neither disappointed. Both were cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection. The freshly handmade tortillas were the perfect finishing touch.
It was easy to see why there was a long line of people waiting to sit down and enjoy their tacos. We decided to park nearby and order ours to go, and when we got home and dug in, we were not disappointed.
This is definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to again, and I’d highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Overall, amazing tacos. The 3 starts are due to the older guy (maybe the owner) who was in charge of the cash register. When it came down to paying, it really feels like you’re bothering him and you’re just getting in his way. He has a rude tone when talking with customers (at least with me) and probably shouldn’t be behind the counter talking with customers. Tacos were great, but that will be my first and last time at this place.

Good for a quick fix. I wouldn’t say it’s wow I want to eat here every time I go get tacos. Their adobada was pretty good. Not spicy it felt light and not greasy. Their asada was okay somewhat bland but still good and it tasted fresh. The salsas were too hot there was no mild option for us that suffer from gastro issues they need to get a mild flavor salsa for us special gut diet people. Overall I would rate it an 8/10. I came at 9pm so there was no wait.

The only problem is you do have to wait on a long line, however service is fast.

My favourite taco in TJ! There may be better places but this is definitely very tourist friendly. Everyone was super friendly and our server can speak perfect English and explained to us what is what. A very busy restaurant but worth the wait and every penny

The asada tacos have beans on them which was very different than street tacos I’m used to and so they are super filling would advise only getting half of what you normally get. The adobada was good, but needed more flavor. They have three salsas that are all the same heat so if you like spice I recommend you get the roasted jalapenos with it. They do not have a salsa verde only a tomatillo, Rojo and this other one that was almost half and half. It can be really packed so suggest going on week days and not weekends if you are visiting.
