I visited this restaurant recently and, honestly, the experience was very disappointing. The food was just okay — nothing special. I had just started eating when the waitress brought me the check, which made me feel rushed, as if they were already trying to get me out.

To make matters worse, the bill had an unexplained “adjustment” charge. When I asked the waitress about it, she simply said, “The owner put that there, I don’t know,” and added, “you’re the only one who’s ever complained,” implying that I was the one in the wrong.

But the worst part — the cherry on top — was when my first card didn’t go through. The waitress *ran* to the kitchen and loudly laughed with another staff member saying, “They don’t have money!” in a mocking tone. We heard it clearly from outside.

This level of disrespect is unacceptable. We will never return to a place where customers are treated like this. The food is average at best, and honestly, I’d rather stay home and eat noodles than be humiliated in public.

We came here for our sons birthday. Sat down and we were greeted immediately. Order our food and it came our pretty quick. I was shocked by how much food was on each of the plates. I got the Pollo bowl and I swear Ill be able to eat it for the next couple of days. Waitress was extremely pleasant and made sure to keep our drinks full. She did a great job on keeping the table clean and getting the dirty plates. We will definitely be back.

This place was amazing. The food is enough to feed 2 or 3 and tastes amazing. The service was great. Definitely one of the better papas and beer. Also we didnt have any hidden adjustments and Noone made fun of us. Would highly recommend.

This place beats every other papas and beer location. The atmosphere feels like little Mexico, the salsa bar is the same at all locations except for the tasty cilantro and jalapeño crema they have here, the drinks are plentiful and the food is so delicious. I swear they have the best cooks at the downtown Simpsonville locations. I love that I can order anything and know it will be high quality. The staff is always gracious and friendly.

We ordered the fajitas for 2 and it was thought to feed 3-4 ppl. Best Texas fajitas I’ve ever had. Service was good. Kept our drinks full and checked on us after the food came out to make sure everything was alright.

The service was really good. I’m from San Antonio so I didn’t have my hopes up for Mexican food but I was really impressed. Someone made a review that the enchiladas were soggy but mine were the complete opposite…very cheesy and good. The cheese is more of a light cheese than what we’re used to but this was very good. They cook the tortillas in their enchiladas which I prefer. I’ve had corn tortillas where they don’t cook the tortillas and I hate those. These were good. I also had a beef taco, lots of beef, great size portions! Everyone in our group of 5 really enjoyed their food. Oh and they have a salsa bar I’m sure you’d find one you’d like.

The food here is so delicious. The salsa bar was great and every dish was full of flavor. The food here is authentic and does not tone down any flavors. This place is a must and we will be back! If you like spicy food get the shrimp a la diabla.

The price of the food is to high. A drink cost 4 dollars. I remember when it was only a 1 dollar and some change. No wonder people are trying to become more self sufficient cause everything ridiculously high. My plate said 13 and some change. Ok. Then I get the bill and its 19 and some change. I would say thats absurd

I love the steak nachos! Great sweet tea and great food. Servers rarely smile but maybe it was just a bad night last time I was there. I’ve eaten here a lot and they may not be the friendliest but they always get my order right and make sure my drink is refilled. Love to eat at this location.
