I had the Reuben sandwich and the pasta salad for my side. The pasta salad was very tasteful and delightful. It comes with a side pickle with sweet savory smoky taste. I also had a delicious coffee.

This is an amazing place! The decor and atmosphere are so warm. The staff is incredibly friendly, inviting, and helpful. And the food is SO good! My husband had the Wild Bill pastrami sandwich and I had the Amelia Earhart grilled veggie in a naan wrap. Had peanut butter pie for dessert and coffee. Everything was just incredible. We were delighted to find such a lovely place on our long drive home.

Very cute place! Food was good, we will definitely eat here again. We went at lunch time, would love to try breakfast. I had the BLT quiche, my husband had the Huckleberry Finn.

I walked into Ben Franklin Bistro already going through a full existential crisis because my GPS randomly dropped me in the middle of Missouri and I just accepted it. The moment I stepped inside, I knew these people were about to deal with a level of confusion and emotional instability they did NOT sign up for.

First of all, the place is cozy in a way that made me accidentally overshare. I don’t know what kind of enchanted atmosphere they have in there, but within five minutes I was telling my server about that one time I cried at a Walgreens. She just nodded kindly like she’s heard much worse. God bless her soul.

I ordered breakfast like a normal human being, but then immediately forgot what I ordered and panicked. They calmly reminded me… twice. Maybe three times. Honestly I blacked out somewhere around the French toast.

When my food came out, I took one bite and made a noise I did not mean to make. The staff pretended not to notice. Professionalism: 10/10.

At one point I dropped my fork, apologized, apologized AGAIN for apologizing, and then apologized for existing. They simply brought me another fork and said, “You’re doing great.” I have never been spoken to with such grace.

The entire time, not a single employee questioned why I was wandering around like a colonial spirit trapped in the wrong century. They just… let me be. The empathy here is unmatched.

If I lived within 200 miles, this would be my personal safe haven.
If you’re even mildly unhinged or prone to emotional spiral breakfasts, this is your place.

Like stepping back in time to much simpler days. this is the cutest little bistro I’ve ever seen. Not a very large breakfast selection however, what they have is great. They have great selection for lunch including a huge variety of sandwiches. The bistro is also a cute little antique shop. The service is great, staff very friendly and welcoming. Would have given 5 stars if they were a little more able to cater to gluten free needs. Not the idea restaurant for gluten allergies.

The menu takes time to look at because these are not your typical sandwiches. I have honestly never had a better sandwich. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is mellow and welcoming.

I ordered the queen sandwich. It was tasteless and bland. I was so excited about this sandwich. It was terrible. I was unimpressed with the food. As for the service, the waitress was super sweet. The place itself was decorated super cute but can’t say I’ll come back for the food.

Everything was great! I love supporting our locals. The only thing is the prices. Kinda high for a small town.

The food is wonderful. It is original and unique. I like the fact that you can actually have the chef surprise you with her sandwich choice for you. Some parents need to teach their children proper restaurant behavior.
