Chicken fried chicken is top notch wife loves it! My daughter loves the Nashville hot chicken and macaroni skillet her personal favorite. The flounder was cooked to perfectio and shrimp was very tasty. The sidewinder fries are very flavorful. The manager came over and talked to us and apologized that our potato skins were alittle behind. The environment here is very pleasant. Plenty of food at a very reasonable price in this economy! We will be back oh and we love the apple cinnamon muffins they give out for free!!!

Came here for dinner and it was absolutely delicious!!! Bang bang chicken and shrimp are so good!! Homemade mashed potatoes and gravy are out of this world, could have just had a full plate of those and been happy. We had the banana pudding for dessert, made with real bananas added when ordered so it’s fresh every time. We will definitely be back and we really enjoyed our visit tonight. Renovations are beautiful by the way, so nice. Liz our server was very nice and a great server.

I guess this place has been open for almost a year now, but this was the first time I noticed it. They updated the inside and did a really excellent job. Even the bathroom looked updated & clean. They have a variety of comfort foods on the menu, but I decided to try the 10 oz sirloin with the sweet potato casserole. Since I can’t eat pepper, they left the seasoning off an added garlic butter instead. He also let me know there was pepper in the sweet potato casserole, so I swapped it for a side salad. They start you off with some cornbread muffins and some sugary butter that I was instantly addicted to. They brought my salad out pretty quick, and waited till I was almost done, before they brought the steak out. The steak was good, but not as tender as some other places and it had a little bit of fat on it. Everything else was great, including the service. I got there just before 5 when they weren’t very busy, but it quickly picked up the longer I was there. Tyler, my waiter, was very attentive, even though he seemed to be the only server working tonight. Some of the other employees were helping out as it got busier, so I didn’t have to wait an awfully long time before ordering some dessert. I ordered the cheesecake with strawberries and whipped cream. They use the frozen cheesecake, but they use fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It was very good. They serve Pepsi products, and even the Pepsi tasted great. There were several things I wanted to try on the menu, so I will definitely be back.
2/17/24: The chicken quesadilla and banana pudding, are very good also.

This was our first time coming here and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Faith was our server and she kept a smile on her face as she served all her tables.

The updated interior is very clean and full of history on the walls. The prices were a bit high but not too extreme.

They provide you with cornbread and sweet butter. It was very tasty.

I enjoyed the Western burger with fries and an extra side of mac and cheese. The burger was very good. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. The fries were freshly cooked with a tasty crunchy bite.

The Mac and cheese was ok. Not a favorite. It was creamy but a little too thick. Kinda had a Velveeta texture to it.

My partner got the chicken carbonara. It was very tasty and the chicken was delicious. The garlic bread was overpowering with garlic. That was kinda disappointing.

Overall it was a wonderful experience and would recommend you try them.

Initially, we felt bad for 1783 Eatery because they have just opened and all they have are bad reviews on Yelp, so I thought I’d take pictures and give them a good review. Though I’m going to be honest it wasn’t good at all. I had the jambalaya and mashed potatoes for 17.99; the meal tasted just like Campbells and the potatoes tasted like a literal cardboard box, my brother had the burger for 16.49 and did like it, then my mom had the fried shrimp and flounder for 20.00; she said that it was very greasy and tasted like they just warmed it up.

Our waiter took 10 minutes to take our drink orders so we ordered our food right away too. It took another 15 to 20 minutes to get our appetizer and drinks. Then another 15 minutes to get our food. The corn muffins were very tasty. My daughter said the burger she ordered was good, but the pork potato skins I ordered left me wishing I hadn’t. The amount of potato was wonderful and the amount of cheese was amazing, the barbecue pork however was not at all appetizing and honestly, I threw it out when nobody else in my home liked them as well.

We had a party of 5 and ordered the nacho appetizers and the onion rings. For the entrees we had salmon and the teriyaki chicken. We enjoyed our food but I don’t think we would try the onion rings again. We had Tina as our server and she hit it out of the park with fantastic service

This is possibly my new favorite restaurant. It’s bright and clean and well themed for Seymour. They have a good menu with a varied selection so there is something for everyone whether you like standard fare or vegetarian or lots of meat and veggies like me. My wife and I had the flounder and shrimp with fries and okra and coleslaw. My son had the 10 oz Burger topped with bacon and mac and cheese. Instead of having a ridiculous number of Burger options listed you literally build the burger the way you want it which is fantastic. All of the food was delicious and fresh and there was plenty of it. You’ll absolutely get your money’s worth. Nearly as important as the quality of the food is the quality of the service. Our server Brad was top-notch, a regular guy but very knowledgeable and helpful and he kept check on us without being annoying. Other staff members stopped by the table to greet and ask if everything was the way we liked. This was our first time at the 1783 Eatery but absolutely will not be the last.

Great, fast service.
Very friendly staff.
Nice and clean building.
Loaded potato skins are g.o.a.t.ed

Food is not overpriced like some people keep saying, these are more like the average prices you’d pay nowadays. You are better off going for yourself rather than believing these bad reviews.
Shrimp and flounder weren’t greasy , nice taste, hush puppies that come with them were the best I’ve ever had.

My Angus ground steak @ 14.99 was good. A little to well done but eatable. Would be better at medium well cooked. What I asked for. Got the potato soup @ 3.99 cup. It is delicious. The cup size needs to be a little bigger. They have cornbread muffins great taste. I will be back. I went friends. Their food was great.
