I stopped in for a quick lunch, and the food was absolutely amazing! It was so good that after work, I returned the same day for a cocktail. The atmosphere feels truly genuine, and I loved every moment there.

Alright, buckle up, foodies, because I’ve just returned from a culinary journey that redefined my understanding of Mexican cuisine. Forget everything you thought you knew, because this restaurant isn’t just serving food; it’s weaving edible magic.
Here’s a breakdown of the deliciousness:
* The Burrito:
* This wasn’t your average, overstuffed gut-bomb. No, this was a perfectly balanced symphony of flavors. Each ingredient sang its own note, yet harmonized beautifully with the others. The tortillas were warm and soft, and the inner ingredients were so fresh.
* Shrimp Tostada:
* Oh, the shrimp tostada! Imagine crispy, golden tostada layered with succulent, perfectly seasoned shrimp. The freshness of the shrimp was so prominent, and the toppings added a perfect zest. The textures were a delight. A true taste of the coast.
* Lengua Tacos:
* For those who dare to venture beyond the familiar, the lengua tacos are a revelation. Tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef tongue, prepared with a level of care that’s evident in every bite. The seasoning was spot-on, letting the natural richness of the meat shine.
* Skirt Steak:
* The skirt steak was a masterclass in grilling. Perfectly seared, with a smoky char that gave way to a juicy, tender interior. The flavor was deep and robust, and it paired perfectly with the restaurant’s house-made salsa.
* Guacamole:
* The guacamole was obviously made with perfectly ripe avocados, and the other ingredients were so fresh. It was clearly made fresh, and was very creamy.
* Overall Experience:
* Beyond the exceptional food, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, with staff eager to guide us through the menu. This restaurant isn’t just a place to eat; it’s an experience.
* This restaurant is a must-try for anyone seeking authentic, high-quality Mexican food. It’s a culinary gem that deserves to be celebrated.
In short, go. Just go. Your taste buds will thank you.

The vibe in this place is simply unbelievable from the moment you walk in the door , the feeling of being welcomed !! The owner Isabel was so amazing and actually hung out with us for the entire time we were there , making it a great experience .

Service is excellent and the decor in the place is very Mexican festive . They have lots of tvs and sounds like the place to be to watch a soccer game .

The food was great and also very affordable and in big portions .
We had the steak alambre that actually comes with black bean (soooooo goodsddd) and lamb tacos .

All in all this was an awesome experience and we will definitely visit again and try other items in the menu .

See you soon Isabel

If you’re tired of soulless restaurants and huge, impersonal Mexican bars,. There’s a lot around here, you absolutely must discover Casa Lupita. This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a truly quaint, intimate experience that feels less like dining out and more like eating at your family’s house.
The food is, simply put, excellent and deeply authentic. Owner, Isabel uses her mother Lupita’s (the restaurant’s namesake!) traditional, authentic Mexican recipes. Every dish bursts with flavor and heart, a genuine taste of Mexico that you won’t find anywhere else. To pair with that incredible food, Isabel makes some of the best Margaritas in town, and the pricing is unbeatable—you truly can’t beat the value here.
But Casa Lupita’s charm extends long past dinner. Come on Friday or Saturday night for the awesome Karaoke night, hosted by the incomparable duo Tony and Naomi. They truly make the night unforgettable. Once the karaoke wraps up, the energy shifts, and the venue transforms into a full-blown Latin dance party! You can stay until 2 AM dancing salsa, rumba, bachata, and cumbia.
From the moment you walk in at 7:00 PM until you leave in the early hours, you get outstanding food, entertainment, and a lively community experience. You can’t just stop in for an hour; Casa Lupita is an essential neighborhood experience.

I lack superlatives to describe the proper service from a young gentleman whose name I didn’t take. Took my order and it was ready when he said it would be. That and the fact that the food tastes so authentically Mexican. Fresh ingredients as well. I will be back with my entire family !

Pretty good! I like the decorations inside, and there are plenty of tables. Bathroom is clean and the wait staff are super nice. Though it took awhile for us to pay the bill on a Friday night they seemed packed with to go and delivery orders. There were only a couple of tables but the waitress was running around trying to get all the delivery orders out. We got fish tacos and Al pastor tacos. Both were decent. Complimentary chips I liked a lot. The Al pastor tacos were a little spicy, had good flavor overall and I was satisfied but nothing super special. Piled high with chopped onion and cilantro. It was supposed to come with some nopales on the side but it was just grilled green onion instead. I would have preferred cactus. Their menu is big and there are a lot of options.

Nothing wrong with this place, all in all good, but there are just so many great Mexican restaurants in Bayonne, this one doesn’t beat out some others

Love the steak quesadillas and fajitas mix were delicious and abundant. The green and red sauces for the chips were crunchy and warm. The music on the background provided a great mood for chatting and chilling. We had plenty of leftovers.

We stopped into Casa Lupita Mexican Restaurant for lunch while in town for a flag football tournament, planning to enjoy a few tacos, appetizers, and tequila. The bartender mentioned they would have live music later that evening, so we decided to come back — and we’re so glad we did!

From the moment we returned, the staff and even the customers made us feel like family. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming. The live music was fantastic, the drinks were excellent, and we ended up dancing the night away.

Thank you, Casa Lupita, for an unforgettable evening. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!
