We have tasty and flavorful pies – blueberry, apple, lemon meringue, pumpkin, custard, coconut custard, chocolate cream, banana cream and many more. Our cakes are perfect for all occasions – birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, etc. Our family opened DeLuise Bakery on Chalkstone Ave in Providence, RI in 1938. We have been part of many occasions over the years – birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, holidays. We are extremely proud of our tradition and in 2012, we expanded our presence to the Cranston community. It is our pleasure to serve you.

Very friendly and bustling place with decent parking. The cookie I got was super strongly almond/amaretto flavored. A bit intense taste-wise but the texture was perfect. Soft and gooey.

Let me start off my saying that everything I had here was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, the customer service isn’t the greatest. I completely understand that this place gets busy(as it is quite delicious!) and it can be overwhelming, I’m sure. But can we treat ALL our customers with the same kindness? I get some customers have been going there much longer than I have, but I should also feel as welcome as they did. The woman that waited on me was very friendly. Bought a birthday cake, a piece of crumble cake, and the best egg biscuits I’ve ever had. They only reason I gave a couple 4s were because the overall selection wasn’t as selective as most Italian bakeries. I’ll be back for more egg biscuits.

Stopped at this location after only going to the Providence one before. I grabbed three things; a salted caramel crumb cake slice, a bismarck and a discounted day-old donut.
My favorite was the bismark. Oh man! The Italian pastry cream filling was amazing and the dough was so fresh.
The salted caramel crumb cake was very moist throughout. But the “crumb topping“ wasn’t like a typical coffee crumb style. It had little pieces of it, but mostly a frosting and a caramel sauce – which were fantastic tbh.
And for the powdered donut, I could tell the dough itself was a touch old as it was a little dry, but the strawberry filling was on point and there was plenty of it.

My family had been a customer for 50+ yrs. at the Chalkstone Ave location. I stopped in the Oaklawn Ave location last Sunday 12/21/25. I was so disappointed to find out that they didn’t make their signature fudge brownies with walnuts, but decided, against my better judgment to try the ones that they did have, what a disappointment . They were extremely dry & tasted like they were a week old, needless to say, 5 went in the garbage. I also picked up an Italian cookie tray which was edible, but nothing compared to what Chalkstone Ave. use to make. Unfortunately, for a $65 purchase, I won’t be returning, definitely not the same!!

The lemon squares were exactly like the ones when I was a kid growing up in South Eastern New England. Brownies, cookies, pies, cakes and more are available upon arrival.

I ordered a cake for a baby shower and was pleasantly surprised when I picked up the cake. Ginny did a wonderful job decorating the cake – it was beautifully detailed and even had edible glitter! Everyone raved at how delicious the cake was. I will definitely be coming back! Be sure to ask for Ginny to decorate your cake!
