Wow, it’s such a great place to have dinner. It’s beautiful inside, very clean and organized. Service was outstanding. The food was amazing. We went on Father’s Day, and they even had a gift for all the Dads, and they took Polaroid pictures. What a great experience.

Decided to do our son and future daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner here at North Tavern. Spoke to Brian, and he took it from there. We had no worries. He took care of everything, even checked in a few days before to make sure everything was running smoothly. The day of the dinner all we had to do was show up. The restaurant is beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff was amazing. Received so many compliments on our choice of venue. Just a great night overall. Thanks North Tavern.

We decided to head here for some apps and cocktails to wind down the day after a few hours at the range. It was early, a little before 5PM.
First time here for everyone in our group, and the menu had some interesting items that caught our attention. Lots of parking and the inside was roomy.
We were greeted warmly, and the staff was quite friendly and cheerful. It was getting too chilly to sit outside, so we opted to sit in the big room. There was a private party in the back, but it wasn’t loud.
One of the things that I noticed was that the bartender personally walked my friend’s cocktail to the table, and asked her to taste it and compare what might be lacking. I felt that was a great touch. After a dash of triple sec, her drink was perfect.
Ordered apps, and they came out in a timely fashion. The nachos were piled high, and the grilled veggie salad with scallops were a hit. Shortly after, the entrees arrived.
My burger was medium rare, bacon was plenty, fries were crisp. Wouldn’t have changed a thing. Italian Sushi was interesting, and one of the menu items that caught our attention. There were generous cuts of tuna and salmon over risotto cakes, very refreshing.
Fish and Chips were actually lightly battered shrimp and my friend brought home the tiny bit that was left. Her husband got his scallop craving sated with some nice plump seared goodness.
Dessert…Mousse cake. #thisiswhyimfat

We went to the North Tavern to celebrate our son’s 23rd birthday. We arrived to a balloon at the table and a smile from our waitress. The best way to explain the night is that it was an “experience” not just a dinner out. The food was fabulous and the service was impeccable. Strangely enough, we didn’t get the first name of our waitress, but we know she was a retired physical educator and her last name. It has been some time since I felt that the restaurant truly cared about their patrons. This establishment truly cared and made sure that we enjoyed our time there. The owner came out periodically to make sure everything was up to his standard, and also made sure we were happy. North Tavern is a special place and my wife and I will making a return trip soon. Thanks for making our son’s 23rd special!

A gem in adorable Wading River. Perfectly located just across from the duck pond, this special Tavern is both inviting and lovely. We walked in as strangers and left feeling welcomed and oh so well fed! We had the burger (this was much better than your average “tavern” burgers ) and the surf and turf pasta – which was amazing. So glad we stopped in. The staff was equally wonderful! 5 stars ⭐️!

My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here and I can not possibly speak of the North Tavern highly enough. The owner/manager is so hands on, the servers are so kind and attentive, the atmosphere is elevated but fun, and the food and drinks are superb. I have some dietary restrictions, and they went above and beyond to ensure I had ample choices throughout the evening, bringing the passed hors d’oeuvres by my seat first so I could pick ones I was able to eat and cooking me a few dishes that weren’t on our event menu so I would have some extra variety. They were wonderful from start to finish, I would highly recommend them!!!

Great restaurants start with great cocktails for me, and the North Tavern makes excellent drinks and has plenty of beers on tap and a good wine selection.
But the food is the star. The appetizers are delicious and well presented. The mains are bountiful and cooked to perfection. My reasonably priced NY Strip was as good as I’ve had anywhere. Short ribs, seafood, and pasta, all knocked out of the park.
Desserts? Decadent and a tremendous selection of goodies.

While on my way out to the east end of Long Island, I came across a hidden gem. The Tavern, an experience in dinning. If you didn’t know this restaurant was there you would pass it by. I’m glad I took the time to try it. The ambiance of a medieval times, set the mood. It was like walking into a castle. The food presentation was impressive and the taste did not disappoint. I’ve gone back for lunch on the patio as well. The lobster roll was delicious and perfectly paired with the wine. It is a hidden secret to most and well worth the try for all. My sister and brother in law live in Wading River. We decided to give the North Tavern a try. Glad we did. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the pastrami sandwich, which was fantastic, as were the wings that we ordered as an appetizer. I liked the menu. Enough options to be interesting and meet your mood, but not so many options as to be overwhelming. The server was a pleasure. Atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing Saturday evening meal. It’s a tad noisy, which is my only minor complaint. They could use something to soak up some sound as the floors are wood. Overall, this was a great experience. My sister and her husband were likewise impressed with the Tavern and we expect to visit again.

Fantastic all around! When I made reservations I was asked if we were celebrating anything, in fact we were. My son and daughter in law moved to the area a little over a year ago we were celebrating their birthdays. A birthday balloon was placed on the table and candles on their dessert! Very thoughtful. Food was delicious and beautiful to look at. We will be back. Thank you for a lovely evening l!
