Reviews
The sushi and sashimi at Sushi Hana are not only fresh and high-quality, but they are presented with incredible care and artistry. It’s a nice hidden gem spot for great seafood, and service is very friendly as well!
The chirashi bowls are beautifully balanced and plated. Definitely go with friends so you can try a few. We reserved the first private room, which fits 4-6 people comfortably. I’m already planning to come back with clients, it’s perfect for that kind of setting too.
The Uni Amaebi Bowl was hands down my favorite. The sweet shrimp and creamy uni, with just the right hint of citrus and that pop from the roe, so good. I actually came back a second time just to order it again. That’s how much I loved it.
The Soy-Marinated Salmon Bowl had deep, savory flavor, and the rice underneath soaked up the marinade perfectly, I ended up finishing the rice. Tip: ask for extra serrano peppers on top–it adds just the right kick.
The Toro Unagi Bowl was another standout. The eel was incredibly fresh, grilled just right. The texture was tender, and the toro sashimi was evenly flavorful in every bite; well-composed bowl.
We also ordered a bunch of sides and appetizers, and everything was beautifully plated, full of flavor, and clearly made with chefs intention.
To end the meal, we had a cold noodle dish recommended by our server, cold noodles in a radish kimchi broth. Cool, tangy, and super refreshing. It worked perfectly as a palate cleanser after.
If you’re looking for high-end sushi and sashimi in K-town with a fresh, modern atmosphere and great vibes, this place seriously delivers. Already looking forward to my next visit.
The fish quality is phenomenal—fresh, buttery, and clearly prepared with care. The Albacore Delight Roll was a highlight.
Surprisingly, one of the best bites wasn’t sushi—the Mushroom Curry Udon was rich, comforting, and full of umami. It’s the kind of dish you don’t expect to crave after sushi, but here we are.
Great service, incredible food, and a cozy vibe make Sushi Hana a must-visit. Once you find it, you’ll be coming back again and again.
Atmosphere:
The moment you walk in, you can tell that they spent a good amount of time on decoration and spacing. They have booths for parties 3 and more. Tables for smaller parties or larger parties. They also have private rooms for special events or if you just wanted a more intimate evening.
Service:
I was met with a friendly greeting and out server took care of us throughout the night. I never found myself without the assistance of our server throughout the night.
Food:
The food tasted amazing and fresh~!
The plates we beautifully put together and was photogenic for all you folks that stand by “the camera eats first”!
This place was definitely worth the visit and you won’ regret it if you do!
The atmosphere sets the stage immediately. Sleek, modern, and intimate, Sushi Hana feels tailor-made for special occasions, elevated date nights, or serious sushi lovers who appreciate craftsmanship over flash. The understated location only adds to its charm proof that some of the best dining experiences in LA remain quietly tucked away.
We opted for the Omakase Light Set, which turned out to be anything but light. The progression was thoughtful and deeply satisfying: creamy mushroom, silky chawanmushi, savory miso eggplant, and perfectly crisp agedashi tofu all beautifully executed and balanced. Each dish felt intentional, building anticipation for what was to come.
The sushi course was the highlight for purists: five pieces of impeccably fresh sashimi and ten pieces of premium nigiri, each one delicate, clean, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The set is generous without being overwhelming and includes assorted tempura and the Hana Maki, rounding out a truly complete omakase experience.
And then there’s the dish that steals the spotlight: Uni Cream Udon. Thick, chewy udon noodles are coated in a luxuriously rich uni sauce, layered with fresh uni, vibrant roe, and nori. It’s indulgent, decadent, and unforgettable comfort food elevated to a fine-dining masterpiece.
We paired the meal with hot house sake, which complemented the flavors beautifully and brought the experience full circle.
Sushi Hana is a reminder that true luxury doesn’t need to announce itself. If you’re in Los Angeles and appreciate exceptional sushi, impeccable execution, and an intimate dining experience, this is a must-visit destination.
Also a super big plus here, free parking for three hours inside the parking structure. That’s huge for K Town. The place is located inside the Aroma Building. After sushi, you might just feel the need to go downstairs for some karaoke. You can hear the karaoke party when you walk outside haha.
