What a super fun little place with great food!

I went there 3 times during a trip. Its a nice place to sit and stay with some people that’d have a nice conversation with you. The first time I was there I saw a man that seemed to be there every time I was. He was eating some of his own customer’s food. The food I got seemed ok. It was a Gordon Bleu Sandwich with their “Garlic Cheesies.” I went back to get marinara sauce, and the man seemed to be generally nice. I tried their wings and a salad the second time I went there, and all I have to say about that is that it seemed ok, but the grizzly sauce wasnt my favorite. I like the variety of sauces you can choose from though. Therr was a woman that worked there that had a nice conversation with me. The third time I went there, I ordered another Gordon Bleu sandwich, but with their fried Mac and cheese, just to try it. They ended up switching up my food with someone else, and I hadn’t realized until I had already taken it to go and was a couple miles out already. I did enjoy a bit of the place, mainly just sitting there and talking with people, but some of it was disappointing to me. They just need to work on staying organized. They also need to know to not eat their own customer’s food or keep their hands out of it. It seemed pretty dirty in the kitchen area, especially with the man’s dirt filled gloves digging through someone’s fries.

The service is prompt and professional.
The atmosphere could use some tweaking.
But the food is very bad.
I ordered a simple burger with onion rings
.the food had a funny smell. I asked for pickles and onions on burger
They put one tiny sliver of onion on it.
It was also a very thin patty. I only got 5 onion rings and they were greasy. When I bit into them the hot onion came flopping out on my chin.
If you cant get a basic burger right, you may want to think about hiring a new cook !!!
I won’t be back…VERY disappointing experience.

When we first started coming here, 5 years ago, everything was extremely good, and reasonable. We would go out of our way to eat here. About a year ago it started getting much worse. They dropped about half the menu, food quality went way down, and prices went up. Which could be forgiven, except THE PRICES CHARGED ARE NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE PRICES ADVERTISED. They repeatedly forget to cut my sandwich in half, as requested, every single time. I’m not saying that we will never eat here again, because sometimes it is the only place to eat in a 50 mile area, but at this point, our expectations are pretty low, and we still keep getting disappointed. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS AGAINST THE MENU PRICES.

Always love visiting Sweden Creme in Mankato Kansas. It has alot of good memories of visiting family over the years and the food here is the best. The brownie sunday was really good and I thought the color changing spoon was a nice touch.

This used to be a fav place to eat.. After this past Saturday however we will not eat here again. I ordered a crispy chicken wrap for my son with only cheese and ranch on it specifically and a side of fries. My son does not digest or do well with lettuce or onions. The food came out with an onion piece on top of the wrap, and when opened it found lettuce and onion both in it. I asked the waiter to take it back, and he did. A girl then brought it back, I opened it up and there was lettuce on it. I took it back to the counter and asked for a new one. The same girl took it. I stayed there and waited, she came from behind the refrigerator and washed her hands, then handed me the wrap back. I took it back to my son and… You guessed it opened it up and found lettuce mixed all through the wrap. I took it back up and said once again this is wrong! It looks like you went through it with your fingers and tried to pick it out, to which she informed me “A little lettuce isn’t going to hurt him”! To which I responded that it would and she should do her job correctly! I said you picked through that with your unwashed bare fingers and then tried to serve it to my son! Her response was to grab the wrap with her hand and say “Oh like this!” And then proceeded to throw it in to the trash. She then made some hand gestures towards me, and was told to walk away by the older woman who was running the register. The wrap was re-made at this point by another woman standing there. I took the wrap and we left. While waiting on the wrap I also witnessed the man cooking on the grill place the raw meat on the grill without gloves and then throw the wrapper in the trash and push trash down, and then proceeded to unwrap more raw meat and continue the same thing again. No hand washing, No gloves, and No hairnets or hats!! Disgusting Service and allowment of the behavior of their help, and unsanitary handling of people’s food! So I guess eat at your own risk if you choose to go here!!!

Waited 35 minutes at drive-up window for cheese balls. Chocolate malt came sooner but would better be described as chocolate MILK. During the wait, several vehicles lined up behind us and we were asked to pull up. Am guessing they ordered ahead, as eight or ten were served and departed before we finally got our food. Cheese balls were good!

No frills and fantastic. We were just passing through and so glad we found this gem. Right of Rt 36, so convenient. The food was great. Perfect sweet potato fries & make sure not to miss the mac and cheese bites. Service was great. So friendly. Going to assume the lady who brought us our food was the owner, she spoke with a Swedish accent. She was hilarious. Don’t miss the malted milkshakes for dessert.

The BEST fries I’ve had, and NOT just in Kansas. We had a late breakfast and opted to share a double cheeseburger with fries and they brought it out in 2 separate trays for us

Great place to stop if you’re passing through town. The staff was friendly and the burgers hit the spot.
