If you are looking for authentic Peruvian flavors and fantastic atmosphere,Asu Mare Peru Restobar is the place to be!. We had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The Bistec a lo Pobre was cooked to perfection a jucy steak served with the classic fried egg and plantains. We also loved the Lomo Saltado served with Arroz Chaufa the smoky flavor of the beef mixed with the Savory rice was outstanding. The portions are very generous, and don’t forget to try their amazing green sauce- it adds the perfect kick to everything! .The drinks were just as impressive and unique!.I had the chicha Sour which was refreshing with that perfect hint of purple corn, and I tried the Amarillo Margarita the kick from the aij amarillo was a delicious, creative twist!.Beyond the menu, the place looks great modern, clean and has a wonderful energy with great music. What truly set this visit apart was the outstanding customer service. The stuff is very friendly and helpful ,and we were especially impressed by the owner. He was incredibly attentive, personally making sure every guest was well served and happy. It is clear he takes great pride in his business 10 /10 we will definitely be back and highly recommend this gem to everyone!!

Wonderful restaurant! Excellent Peruvian food, right up there with some of the best in the North Jersey area. This place just opened and already I can see that it’s going to be a major success. The service was top-notch and the food was exactly what I hoped for. The tostones cevicheros were especially delicious. Shout out to Victor who seemed very nice and was a pleasure to meet. Definitely will be coming back!

From the moment you walk in, you can feel the heart behind this place. The aesthetic beautifully reflects its cultural roots — from the décor and music to the small details that make the space feel authentic and intentional. It’s not just a restaurant, it’s an experience that honors tradition in such a tasteful, modern way.
And the food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish tastes like it was made with pride and care. The flavors are rich, comforting, and layered — the kind of food that tells a story with every bite. You can tell recipes were passed down, respected, and prepared with love.

Eddie provided great service to us tonight. He knew the menu items & what the drinks included, which is very helpful, and provided his recommendations.
Parking lot is shared with other businesses so a little hard to find parking. The restaurant inside was a little snug too; started to get busy around 7pm.
Ordered the papa rellena, which included 3 small potatoes on top of 3 different sauces all on separate dishes…this lacked flavor/salt in my opinion. Also ordered the chicken lomo saltado which was good but husband thought it was a little too salty.
Drinks ordered were the Cuzco Afterdark which was ok (had a coffee/brown sugar flavor) and the PPP which is prickly pear & passion fruit and this was delicious.
Perhaps more items will be added; would love to see picarones on here as you don’t find too many places that sell them.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day at Asu Madre and enjoyed their beautifully curated seven-course tasting menu. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and full of vibrant flavor. The ceviche was exceptionally fresh, the arroz de mariscos was rich and perfectly balanced, and the lomo was outstanding.Joanna was our server and truly made the evening special and was very attentive, knowledgeable, and sweet throughout. We’ll be back!

Lissete was a true artist behind the bar. The Cusco Afterdark cocktail was truly delicious, and the food did jot dissapoint either. The ceviche was perfectly balanced spicy and sweet and the yuca was cooked just right. I will be back for sure.

VERY disappointed. They were good the first week they opened & immediately started changing their products & raising the prices. Their sandwiches of chicharron come in cheap mini molded hamburger breads not the Italian bread anymore. Also green sauce isn’t good. Never going back.

Everything was great hats off to the chef! The wait staff and servers were really great too! The decor was vibrant and the atmosphere was inviting. Since we went before they got their liquor license, we didn’t get a chance to taste their cocktails. We will be sure to go back to have the entire experience! Highly recommend!
