Some of the friendliest people run this store. No matter how busy, they are patient and greet you with a smile. I order quite often and love their General Tso chicken and fried rice. I can’t do too much spiciness and they always work with me to make it sweet instead. They’re super quick and always bring the same great Quality.

I was really looking forward to trying this place for the first time, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. The rice had a strange taste, and the combination fried rice didn’t have much meat — just a few small pieces mixed into mostly rice. I expected a better balance of meat to rice. Hoping the quality improves, because I really wanted to enjoy it. I just hope I don’t get sick because the food tastes pretty weird.

Usually food quality ranges from ok to good. However, this most recent experience was just awful. All the chicken in our dishes tasted like seafood and our egg rolls tasted burnt, even though they looked fine. Clearly things aren’t being kept clean and fresh, especially the fryer oil and other cooking instruments. Not sure if we caught them on a bad day (a Sunday at 6pm), but this has turned me off to Golden City possibly for good.

I’d give 0 stars if I could, I ordered pork lo mean last night and didnt realize until it was too late that the pork was RAW. I ended up getting food poisoning and have been vomiting all morning. I definitely do NOT recommend.

Just ordered on Uber eats as I’m so sick I can barely walk. I ordered chicken chow mein, a combo plate and an order of fortune cookies. My Uber eats driver was amazing and called to pick up and somehow the restaurant didn’t know what the order was even though it was printed on the bag? The order was reiterated to them and they still sent out the wrong thing and didn’t include my fortune cookies I paid for. Food is okay but they were told twice what the order was and still sent whatever that soupy cabbage entree is that I paid for and won’t be eating.

Hands down the best Chinese food. Everything I’ve gotten from here has been great. No complaints at all. My first time ordering, I placed the order online and asked for an item that was listed as spicy, to be prepared as not spicy. I didn’t have high expectations because in general restaurants usually don’t get these little comments right on orders (or at least in my experience). Not only was the food delicious and still flavorful, it wasn’t spicy at all, and they even took care to make a note on top of my food. The prices are great, the restaurant looks clean, they’ve taken preventive measures at the counter during the pandemic (like plexiglass and ensuring social distancing), and above that the people here are really nice. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. Don’t even bother trying the surrounding Chinese restaurants, they don’t compare to Golden City Restaurant! ☺️

A friend of my wife’s recently recommended this place and we had a DoorDash and it was absolutely phenomenal and perfect! I’ve had lots of Chinese over the years, but this place beat them all!! The crab raccoon I could eat 100 of them lol but we got the lo mein and we got sesame chicken and we’ve also had the honey chicken. Everything was perfect.
