A truly cozy and elegant place. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, clean, and beautiful — perfect for a relaxed outing or a nice meal with family and friends.

The food is delicious and full of flavor. Some dishes have a bit of spice, but it’s a pleasant heat that enhances the taste rather than overpowering it. You can really tell the ingredients are fresh and carefully prepared.

Definitely a place I would visit again for both the inviting ambiance and the amazing food.

⭐ Highly recommended if you enjoy flavorful dishes in a beautiful and welcoming setting.

This food is amazing. I walked in, was promptly greeted, and the employees were so kind. They are very knowledgeable about the menu and were quick to give great recommendations! I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Saffron Chicken Tikka. Both were amazing, but the Mango Lassi really stands out. It was sweet and savory, and it melts in your mouth. By far the best mango lassi in the College Park Area. Also, the Gulab Jamun was a good extra touch as dessert after. Definitely a College Park must try! I will be back again and again!

The food was good, but the place has more of a fast food or cantina vibe, probably because it’s right by the university, so it makes sense. I tried the goat curry bowl, and the portion was generous. If you order a platter it comes with naan, but the bowl doesn’t. I wanted the garlic naan anyway, so I added it as a side.

We ordered takeout from here and were pleasantly surprised. The saffron chicken tikka was tender (but had nice crispy edges) and was beautifully marinated. The dal makhani was buttery and very authentic. The butter chicken was a bit too sweet for me, but the palak paneer made up for it — it was super soft, and the sauce was well-flavored without being too creamy. Overall, would absolutely order again!

The HIGHLY anticipated Maryland Tandoor is finally opened, and about time. I came here with my friend first around lunch to check out the new restaurant and I really wanted try their coffee or chai and then I came back for dinner.

I ordered the butter chicken. The platter includes butter chicken, rice, naan and a side of choice (either chana masala or dal makhani). I got Chana masala because I really enjoyed Chana masala. I decided with my first time here get something I always get vs try a new dish. I think it’s a good price for the platter which was $15. I also ordered a mango lassi. My friend ordered a lamb kebab platter. I really enjoyed my food. At first I was a little underwhelmed, I could have used a bit more rice. However after tasting the food the quality of the food is definitely up there. The butter chicken was so good and the naan was delicious. There was a good amount of stew that could save it and eat later at home with my own rice.

The menu is extensiveeeee, there’s so many options and there is something for everyone. There is so much I want to try. The staff was SO kind both times I came by the restaurant they were incredibly helpful and kind. The restaurant is beautiful! I really love the aesthetic and look. There’s a good amount of tables to accommodate their busy crowd of students, staff and members of the community anyone enjoying a solo meal or a meal with friends. I do think this place gets ALOT of traffic from students, which makes sense however there isn’t much space for people to wait for their takeout orders. Most of them waited outside the restaurant but there was a lot of people crowding the water/sauce station since it right next to some small couches.

I would recommend this spot, for sure. It’s convenient, good, Indian spot in College Park that anyone can go to. I used to venture out to Silver Spring for good Indian food and now I don’t have to.

I am so happy that there’s an affordable Indian restaurant in College Park! I felt very welcome when entering Maryland Tandoor and the food was very good. The employees were very kind and seemed to take care in ensuring that orders were correct. The price is excellent, especially for students and I would absolutely visit them again. I also appreciate how well my meal was packaged.

A very thoughtful selection of food. I want to share my feedback as positively as possible:

What I really appreciated:
1. First of all, thank you for making the meals halal-friendly. I truly value that.
2. I was excited to see Chicken Biryani on the menu, served with Raita and Masala Chai. As someone from South Asia, I had been waiting for a place like this to open. College Park hardly has any biryani restaurants. This might even be the only one. So, I’m genuinely grateful.
3. I absolutely loved the addition of Parle-G with the Masala Chai. People often don’t realize how nostalgic something so simple can be for a South Asian- it really brought back memories. Honestly, just for the chai and Parle-G combo, I would come back again.

Where I think improvement is needed:

1. The menu on Google Maps Menu Image and the website do not match the in-store pricing. In Google Map Manu Images, it says $12 for biryani, but in the restaurant and on the website it says $15 for “Biryani of the Day.” It would be helpful if the outdated menu images could be removed for clarity.

2. The portion size of the biryani feels a bit small compared to the price. For $15, I expected either a slightly larger portion or more value for the cost.

3. The food was not served hot, which was disappointing. The flavors were good, but if the dishes were served warm, it would have made a big difference in my overall experience.

Great food, so full from healthy portions. Fast service, answered all questions about the menu to help us get the best bang for our buck. Very clean and plenty of seating, the students probably won’t takeover all the seats because there aren’t many logical outlets . Got half the order from the counter and then they made the lamb dish fresh.
Over all, yummy, fast, clean, and inexpensive!
