Unusually good banh mi sandwich served at this charming little A-framed hut in Rosemead. Very impressed by the incorporation of house-made pate–as well as house-made mayo–on my sandwich. Undoubtedly, these additions helped to make this a dynamite banh mi. Bread was fresh, with a crispy exterior, and the fillings were all very fresh-tasting. Perfectly balanced in flavor, and the interplay between the crispness of the pickled vegetables and the crunchiness of the bread’s exterior was very pleasant. Fast and extremely friendly service here, as well!

Can we all say… Yum, Yum, Yummy?!! I truly enjoyed their steak banh mi. The pork egg rolls were delicious and were only $1.50 each.
I’m looking forward to returning to try their other offerings. Depending on what time of day you go, they can get pretty busy, but the line goes reasonably quickly. Phone orders are available for convenience.

Plenty of parking and great chips and sandwiches options!
Their logo is cute and they even have it on the bathroom seat covers lid!
I ordered grilled pork and it was delicious and priced great at about $5-$6 for one sandwich!! Definitely coming back!

I got their dac biet and it was definitely a really good sandwich. Their dac biet includes grilled pork! They used good amount of pate, Vietnamese mayo, and decent amount of meat. For $4.50, that is a really good deal. The place was pretty clean, offered outdoor seating, social distancing guidelines met, and customer service was good. I also ordered 4 egg rolls and their bi cuon (shredded pork skin) spring rolls. Egg rolls are filled with like a nem nuong type meat and it was super crispy. 75 cents each. Their bi cuong was really good, their fish sauce dipping sauce was okay, was not watered down. Would I go back? Absolutely. I’d like to come back and try another type of banh mi and maybe a premade plate that they have on the counter. 5 stars.

Special – Cold cuts (Sliced pork loaf, ham and head cheese) grilled pork, pork pate of course all the sandos comes with – Toasted French bread, egg yolk mayo spread, pickled daikon radish and carrot, cucumber, cilantro and slices of jalapeno.
The flavor and amount of veggies were more then ample. As for the pork meat balls and pork fried egg rolls both were 3/5. I don’t even know if they have this because I wasn’t given any but if I were to come again, I would ask for sauce. Actually, I would say bmc pho currently holds the record for fried egg rolls, sooo good and at 95cents a piece! Can’t wait to come back and try the bbq pork bahn mi!
Lastly, the area has onsite parking but it does get really full. I would suggest parking on the street or neighborhood if you are in a hurry.

For the price, this place is incredible. I ordered the vermicelli with pork, egg rolls, mint, lettuce, bean sprouts, pickled daikon / carrot. It was well presented, but the lemongrass grilled pork was a bit lacking in quality and quantity. Seemed like it was premade in bulk, which is understandable given how busy these guys are.

I was pleasantly surprised with how good the vegetarian banh mi was here, and I enjoyed the coffee with condensed milk as well. I came on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy but we were able to get our food pretty quickly.

I stopped by and ordered a large coffee, but was surprised to receive a cup that was only about half full. When I pointed it out, I was told they could add more ice—but that wasn’t the issue. It honestly felt like the “large” and “medium” are the same size just filled differently. I was disappointed, especially since I paid for a large and expected a full drink. Hopefully they take this kind of feedback into consideration.
