Hinata Sushi Kitchen is honestly one of the best finds I’ve ever made. The price is about $35 per person, which is such a great deal considering the quality of sushi you get. They have this omakase box that comes with the best cuts, and they even give one free box for the whole table. They don’t skimp on anything, and everything tastes fresh and perfectly prepared. I love that the service is super fast and smooth, and the restaurant never really feels too crowded, even on special occasions. I’ve been there about seven times already, and every visit has been just as enjoyable as the first. I honestly never get tired of it.

The vibe of the place is also really fun and welcoming. I’ve even won two plushies from their claw machine, which was such a cute bonus. The chefs are clearly skilled and passionate about what they do, and the wait staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. They even remember us by name now, which makes it feel personal and special every time we visit. Between the amazing sushi, the great service, and the fun little extras, Hinata Sushi Kitchen has quickly become one of my favorite spots. I can’t recommend it enough.

Hinata sushi has it all—- yet they excel at none. This is my second time here, I tried the all you can eat option this time and unfortunately I was quite disappointed again.
If you look at the pictures, their chicken karaage did not taste like chicken and the batter was thick and doesn’t look like the karaage I know and love. The hand rolls were good but the fish in comparison to the rice was too little. The unagi did not taste great, the ramen noodles were not fully cooked so there was a bunch of noodles that remained at the bottom because they were hard and stuck together. The food took a looong time to come out in between sessions. And although it looks good, the taste was unfortunately just not there. Everything was underwhelming at best. For the price tag, you can find better options out there.

Solid AYCE sushi spot. The fish dishes were fresh and well prepared. The omakase box was chef’s kiss. I also tried the mini ramen and enjoyed it, and the meat dishes were solid too. They have free parking in the back, and it’s also an easy walk to Hayward BART

This place used to be a different all you can eat restaurant. This is now Hinata which is all you can eat as well but it’s a smaller selection of rolls, hand rolls, nigiri, sashimi, skewers, and small appetizers plates for $41.99 each person so don’t come here full. If you don’t want to have the AYCE, don’t come here. The whole table or anyone that comes here spends the same amount. Drinks are not included. They also offer alcohol drinks. They also offer small bowls of ramen but I would not go here for ramen.

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor by the Cinemark Hayward 16 movie theater. There is an elevator available for handicapped folks. Easy to find. Plenty of street parking or at the free parking lot across the street or the free garage parking in the back. The staff are helpful but they don’t remember who orders what and just puts it on the table. The best one to order here is the Omakase Box which has fresh fish selection. These are the best selection they have. I can just have this but make sure to ask for it.

Decent and clean place. Great for large groups as they have plenty of tables. Good for receptions. Came here twice so far for lunch and a dinner but can’t do this often as I feel, I have to eat everything to pay this amount.

Nah mate, this was rough. This place is located on the second floor and is wheelchair accessible. A good bit of the raw fish was just flavorless. It looks good but then doesn’t taste like anything. The scallops and eel were good here. The hand roll was fun. The tonkatsu was actually pretty good but it didn’t come with enough sauce. The baked mussels are wayyyyyy too garlicky. The omakase box looks great and has good flavor to it but then fish count scales with your party size. Save yourself btw and don’t get the tempura. It wasn’t an enjoyable eat. The rice bowls were actually pretty alright, besides again, the plain raw fish. But they took 2/3 of our stay there to get them out to us.

This all wouldn’t be too bad but the service was rough. We barely saw any help and had to chase people down. And like they just forgot our order on some items and we had to reorder. The thing is, it’s all remote too. Like the website they ask you to order from has buttons to add your order and to call for service and a lot of times it seemed like they didn’t pay attention so the wait ordered items wasn’t steady.

I was a little bummed that only bigger parties were allowed to sit near the window, but the quality of everything I ate (right down to the grilled eggplant) was sublime, and the service was exceptional. Will definitely be returning to have many more cozy Saturday Sushi nights here!

Hinata Sushi in Hayward offers a dining experience rooted in quality and simplicity. The salmon sushi was fresh and well-prepared, a reminder that great ingredients need little embellishment. The Omakase box provided a well-curated selection, each piece speaking for itself. The beef skewers were flavorful and satisfying, and even the fries—an unexpected addition—were crisp and enjoyable, enhanced by a variety of well-balanced sauces. The atmosphere was relaxed, and sharing the meal with a best friend made it all the more worthwhile. Good food, good company—nothing more is needed.

Decent food and not overpriced! No wait if you come at 4pm on the weekend. The mane item is a little limited, otherwise it’s pretty good for the price. The skewer sometimes over cooked, too dry.

This sushi was quite disappointing. The portion size is extremely small—the box itself is smaller than the size of a hand, which already makes it feel unsubstantial. On top of that, the salmon slices are paper-thin, just a light layer covering the rice, without the satisfying thickness you’d normally expect from salmon sushi. The rice takes up most of the bite, so it feels more like eating a rice ball than actual salmon sushi. Overall, poor value for the price and not something I’d order again.
