Update: Wow! This place had done a total 180⁰ !! I can now call this a hidden gem!! The food here now is delicious, fresh, high quality and generous portions! The tortillas are definitely homemade as well — fresh and delicious! I believe a new family maybe running this business now? Both times we went there, there was only one server. Her service was friendly, attentive and good.

Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here! The service was friendly and efficient, and the decor and atmosphere were pleasant. The food was flavorful, though my burrito needed a little sauce to spice things up a bit. That said, the mole style sauce was excellent and really cranked up the flavor of the burrito… which was massive! We both really enjoyed the mulitas as well. Reminiscent of a quesadilla made from tostadas.

We’ll be back!

12/3/25: Ordered pork tamale to go. Went straight home (3 min drive) it was so hard it would not cut through with a knife, serrated, or otherwise. The bottom of it was literally like a brick (un- eatable). There was a tiny bag included with FIVE chips and a tiny salsa. I was nauseous an hour afterward. Not full-on but it was the only thing I had eaten that day so… first and last stop for me

AWESOME service, AWESOME FOOD and great sounds of Mana, Shakira, Soda Stereo in the background! Been coming here for years and the food is always great! Tried the La Palapa wrap and what a great combo of ingredients! I LOVED it! Got it with carnitas! Super tasty! We all enjoyed!!

Very friendly staff and amazing food. Best horchatas around and the Terminator burrito is excellent…and it’s good for like 3 meals or to share with someone.

Still amazing every time I go back also.

Man, I love this place! Truly, one of the first things I look forward to everytime I come back to Santa Rosa ❤️

Breakfast Burritos w/ potatoes !!!
First time I’ve had the breakfast and it was AMAZING!!!! Plus, the chef came out & gave me the spicy ️ hot sauce. Though HOT, it’s super good & made the experience even better!. Highly suggest.

I overestimated my spice tolerance and the hostess graciously remade my torta. It is a quiet place. You can request to watch TV. The ambient music is a great with conversation and the sounds of cooking in the kitchen. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. This my new go-to lunch place when I am in the area.

My wife and I have been coming to this place for more than 5 years consistently as it’s been one of our favorite Mexican places in Santa Rosa. We love the refried beans they serve with the chips and salsa, and the food has always been really great. However last evening will be our last trip there unless serious changes are made in their kitchen. It’s been maybe a month or two since we last visited, and it’s clear they have new kitchen staff. We heard the tell-tale sign of a microwave beeping, plates hitting the glass bottom of the microwave, and the obvious microwave door slamming shut consistently throughout our dinner. I could forgive this if the food they presented was at all edible, but it was some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten some spectacularly horrible dinners as a fraternity pledge in college. The refried beans were flavorless, no salt, and worse than the Rosarita refried beans we buy at Costco. The proteins (I had shredded chicken, wife had carne asada) were also flavorless, without salt, and dry and tough.

The one hostess they had working the phones, register, online orders, and bussing all the tables ignored us for over 10 minutes while tending to another table twice, and taking some walk-in orders too. I could honestly forgive the weak service if the food had at all been edible.

It’s sad to see one of our places we loved so much fall off the map this hard, but it’s clear whatever changes were made in their kitchen were not for the best. Eat at your own risk until kitchen staff changes are made.
