Been here multiple times, small to no wait. Great service and food. Was serviced with Denisse today and she did an excellent job, patient and provided regular check ins. The lake view is very relaxing.

We arrived by boat. Get there early as it gets busy. We arrived at 5pm. Service was friendly and efficient. The food is not spectacular- lots of fried foods, burgers and pizza fare. The tacos were skimpy with the fish and the tortillas were cold. The best deal was taco Tuesday- 3 tacos for $10.

My brother lives by the lake, so we drove from Wilson, North Carolina, to the lake house without stopping for food. By the time we arrived, it was getting late, and we hadn’t planned on having dinner at the house. We put the boat in the water and headed over to the marina, where we discovered they must have had a busy day. It seemed to be prom night because they had sold out of all the chicken wings and pizza. However, they had plenty of other options on the menu that they could prepare for us. I believe we all decided on bacon cheeseburgers, which were delicious. I ordered an old-fashioned, and while it was great, it didn’t come with the right cherry. Despite that, it turned out to be a wonderful day. We enjoyed a nice boat ride in the dark, and overall, it was a fantastic experience—10 out of 10! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a bite to eat and a drink by the lake. The staff was very friendly, the hostess was awesome, the bathrooms were very clean, and it was conveniently located near the boat store and gas station. Overall, it truly deserves a 10 out of 10! I feel bad that I didn’t get a picture of the drink or the food!

Ordered the trashcan nachos to start. The flavor was great but we would have liked more chicken! The burgers were awesome! I had the chicken strips and they were so so so good! The ahi tuna bowl flavor was good but could have had more tuna.

Delicious food, beautiful view, and great atmosphere! The Shady Cuban sandwich was very tasty (some spice) ,Trash Can Nachos (beef) were great, and Tacos probably took the top spot! Definitely will be back.

I love that they are pet-friendly! I met a local with his two sons and their pet capuchin monkey! Her name was Lucy ❤️ Highlight of my day I’d have to say lol.

The first thing that comes to mind when we think of the Shady Shack Bar & Grill is “relaxed fun”! Pull up by car or by boat and enjoy their open deck seating with fabulous sunset views over Poplar Creek. Their menu includes a nice variety of traditional American cuisine and seafood, with one of our favorite menu items being their fish tacos. Enjoy a fun summer drink and soak in the lake lifestyle! Highly recommend!

TEN STARS!!!! Sunny, the hostess welcomed us and loved on our dog! Ryan, the other hostess, brought our dog a bowl of cold water!:)) We were seated at an amazing table right by the water! Megan was our server; she has the sweetest smile …kept the drinks flowing! Speaking of drinks- Hannah is a BEAST behind the bar!:)) Hayle brought our food with a smile! JT, the cook, even came out to see if we enjoyed our meal! Everything was perfect! Our dog enjoyed his side of turkey, I enjoyed my Shady Shrimp and tots, and my husband’s Murder Burger was devine! The manager, Ryan, is always friendly, making sure everyone has what they need!

The food is pretty good, and they have a lot of different choices on the menu, though the price isn’t as good. Wouldn’t go if looking for a cheap bite. The service is okay. Most of the servers are nice, but some have their attention span elsewhere. The atmosphere is nice for the view, though I would recommend not coming on Thursdays or face karaoke night , coming in the summer is nice if you’re in a boat. If not, I recommend wearing shorts because the heat is relentless.

We love the Shady Shack!! Been going for years. The atmosphere is truly what makes the space special along with the inviting staff. The pizza is awesome and most foods are great. Pricey for the portion size you receive. Sometimes the fries are almost absent from the basket. One time our fried pickles had the sauce spilled all over by the time the food runner came to our table. We shrugged it off because they were busy, but some people may not be able to eat that sauce. Went recently in the off season and the food was incredible! Portion sizes met the price point and everything was served looking fresh. If they could serve up food like they did this past weekend, during the season they would have many more happy customers. Only real issue is the table sizes. They are just too narrow to squeeze into. Wish they could get some wider tables. Of course we will be back!
