Maria Cruz truly is a hidden gem in the heart of the RGV. Amazing food at good prices and good portions alongside excellent service is hard to find in the valley. The food is delicious and satiating while remaining light and healthy. The staff are very kind and friendly answering any questions you may have. The Matcha, Breakfast Tacos, Dora Burger and Rice Bowls are some of my personal favorites and easily the best items on the menu. The Matcha alone keeps me coming back. Even as a non vegan every time I dine here I leave full and happy. Maria Cruz is a MUST when in the valley to taste a perfect fusion of Hispanic and Plant Based Cuisine.

Amazing food! This place is incredibly special to our family. My wife and I started going as just a couple, then we had our daughter and now we have a son. Our whole family loves it and the staff.

First off, it’s a very nice and comfy restaurant, I loved the atmosphere. I’d like to consider myself a foodie and have a higher standard of taste compared to the average person. So when I say this was some of the best food I’ve ever had, I mean it. When most people make vegan food, they tend to forget the food they’re substituting. Not only do they know what they’re going for here, they elevated the flavors to the extent that even my picky wife and kid enjoyed it. I recommend eating here at least once, it’s definitely a hidden gem in the valley.

My friends and I went for brunch. It was my first time and I was absolutely in love! I have been wanting to go and it was so worth it. The food options were great and they have a little bit everything. I had the butterfly latte and the rice bowl with their version of chicken. The food portions are amazing. Definitely able to have leftovers or share. The staff was so kind and the atmosphere is very cozy. I will definitely be driving back to my hometown to go again. If you are not in McAllen it’s so worth the drive.

When out of town, I try to find a vegan spot for dinner. This place I was willing to try, although it took about an hour to get there from where I was staying, it was definitely worth it. The food was delicious! I ordered three dinners because I was going to be in the area three days. Yes, they held up great in the fridge in my room. The staff member was kind, helpful, and gave me water with cucumber while I waited. I was starving because vegan spots aren’t everywhere in that area. Besides, the food wasn’t greasy, and it was healthy with nice sized portions. I will definitely return.

Picture perfect food and impeccable service. You can’t really ask for more from this restaurant. It’s beautiful and cozy. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted warmly by the attentive staff. The drinks are unique and delicious. The food came out quickly and was exactly as they said. It could satisfy any carnivore! I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. I highly recommend the Plato Surtido to try a little bit of everything. The pickled cabbage really made the dish.
