Don’t let the sketch parking lot fool you, this place is legit. My fiancee had the Szechuan Chicken. The chicken was very tender and flavorful, plus the vegetables were fresh. Even though the menu said it was spicy, it was mild. I had the sesame chicken. Also not spicy, but I liked that the chicken was crisp and fresh. It wasn’t sitting in a bunch of sauce like other places waiting to be served. The interior could use an update, but the server was very nice and attentive.

Girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place by accident, in a sketch strip mall. The lady inside was very nice. The food was better than we were anticipating, I’d recommend and I’d come back. Place was clean and organized. Kids came pouring in from the nearby high school, they too were pleased. Good little spot, no complaints from us 🙂

The staff was friendly and our food came out very quickly. We got the Family dinner and I chose the Sizzling Beef Tenderloin w/Black Pepper which was delicious! The Spicy Shrimp w/Hot & Sour Garlic Sauce my wife got as her entree was also very good.

I just don’t understand the good reviews. We ordered food to go for dinner, spent $90, got home and the food is just terrible! The orange chicken is e giant pieces of chicken with burned orange peels on it? I just don’t get it. The veg lo mein barely had any veggies in it. The beef and broccoli is okay. The hot and sour soup is tasteless.
Really disappointed and won’t be back. I would suggest finding something else if you’re reading this.

I am shocked that anyone would rate this place under 5 stars since people are just angry at life I guess. I’ve been eating here for years but far the best Chinese cuisine I’ve ever had and it never misses the mark. Small family run restaurant, very friendly and accommodating. Quiet atmosphere, and always far service with hot fresh terrific food. Egg rolls are the best in town and the chicken is always to shelf quality.

This place is a hidden gem in Lakewood! It’s located in an older shopping center so it’s not super easy to find, but worth it if you’re in the area.
We ordered the Hong Kong Special Pan Fried Noodles along with the Volcano Steak, which they actually lit on fire!
The food was delicious and the staff was quite attentive. I will be returning here soon.

Looks can be deceiving here, it’s a small hole in the wall place. The outside looks very rundown. The lot that Golen Plate is in looks completely terrible. But we decided to try it out since the sesame pockets here were supposedly very good, and it did not disappoint!
The filler (which we got pork) was delicious and paired very well with the sesame buns. So good I was shoveling it into my mouth by itself when I ran out of buns.
We got the Kung pao chicken and the honey walnut shrimp, both which were delicious. Kung Pao was less American tasting than you’d get at some other places and had a rich flavor, while the Shrimp was nice and plump and very very fresh!
The egg rolls were just your standard egg rolls. Being a cheap lunch special deal was just extra icing ontop!
Golden Plate is definitely our favorite Chinese place so far in the Denver area. Can’t wait to come again and try something new.
Update: Came back to try the Pan Fried special noodles. It was sooooo good. Sauce was so good you could drink it. Shrimp here are enormous here and taste fresh and very well marinated. Wish I could review this place twice!

Local neighborhood restaurant that is a favorite of my mom’s. The couple who own the restaurant are nice and the food is tasty and delicious and reasonably priced. A bit old in furnishings and not a super nice looking strip mall area. They are also open for lunch on a Sunday which is convenient.
Ordered my mom’s usual Seame Eggplant, big giant pieces of egglplant lightly deep fried and coated with a sticky sweet sauce. We also had the Shanghai rice cake with pork loin and the Basil shrimp and chicken with big pieces of shrimp, thinly sliced chicken and a good variety of stir fried vegetables. Enjoyed our lunch and will be of course be back. Good for both dine in and take out.

Delicious hot and sour soup, and I love that the salted pepper shrimp is very lightly breaded. Friendly service, reasonable prices, and free parking. I do wish some of the dishes had more vegetables though, like the salted pepper shrimp and pad Thai. See photos for business hours posted on the door.
