Who recommended this place for soba and met a friend for lunch here, it was absolutely incredible. Polite service, fantastic food, nice ambience, and good price. What more could you ask for?

I discovered this place on Google maps. This cute little Japanese restaurant had the best noodles! Workers were super nice and polite. I had their Unagi Soba noodles and it was the best I’ve ever tasted. The umami in it tasted good. It’s a pretty quiet eat, definitely the best place to eat in peace. I went on Friday close to closing time, best time to eat when it’s not too crowded. Got there and eat! Will be back again!

Delicious as always! One of my most favorite Japanese noodle houses in LA!

We ordered the unagi udon bowl (cold) and the kakiage (shrimp + veggie tempura) udon (cold) and both were so simple yet so tasty. Hits the spot every time.

Service is quick. There’s ample seating inside in two rooms.

They do charge you a fee for paying with a credit card just FYI as the cash price is always cheaper.

Ample free street parking around.

This place is a gem. The food’s great, best soba in socal. I usually get the cold tanuki in extra large. The noodles are always al dente. Price is good although has been increasing, I’m assuming from inflation but well worth. Always a treat for me when I’m in the area.

Fantastic authentic Japanese soba & udon restaurant with great service, delicious food, and a perfect vibe. I have eaten the Banbanji with Udon about 650 times this summer and I have no plans to stop.

Very sweet staff. One of the cooks was telling me how he makes everything from scratch and you can tell! The food is so fresh and wonderful. My mom and I got the tempura combo with hot udon noodles and the cold chicken cucumber soup. Both were amazing. The noodle broth was so delicious and the cold soup was packed with flavor. The chili crisp on the side is the best I’ve ever had. You can tell they make it there. Highly recommend and I’ll be back!!

Me and my Dad enjoy eating Ichimiann Soba!! Which is good, delicious, and Healthy!! I like the Umishiso which is a Soba with Japanese Plum & Shiso which is a Japanese Herb. And I enjoy eating Onigiri which you can choose either Salmon, Uma, or Kombu which is Seaweed. It is peaceful and relaxing. You go to the Cashier to place your Order and they give you a Number you take to your table and they will give you the Meal you Pick. I went there today because in Japan they Celebrate the Japanese New Year. Even though it is New Year Eve. So I enjoy eating Ichimiann. I recommend taking either your Family or Friends to Lunch!!

What an amazing, authentic hole-in-the-wall Japanese noodle restaurant.

The staff is so wonderful, courteous, and helpful. There are a few tables for sitting but can possibly get crowded if you get there during rush hour.

Two specials:
1) Yuzu Chashu bowl – unique and delicious broth! The best dish we ate there.
2) Banbanji (sesame soup with shredded chicken, cucumbers, and rayu) – ordered with soba noodles. Popular dish.

For any of the broths and toppings, you choose between udon/soba and hot/cold. Both udon and soba noodles were freshly made!
